Todd Lapato FamilyMissionaries to Austria

Situated in south Central Europe, Austria has been at the "center" of things for centuries. It was at the center of the Roman Empire, classical music, and the Nazi invasion of Europe. The true story of the von Trapp family was immortalized in the famous musical: "The Sound of Music." The mix of spectacular scenery and culture makes Austria one of the most unique places on earth. Austria has a well-developed social market economy with a high standard of living and close ties to other EU economies, especially Germany's. Austrias economy benefited greatly from its entry into the EU in 1995, the introduction of the Euro in 2002, and its growing commercial relations--especially in the banking and insurance sectors-in central, eastern, and southeastern Europe. In the 2001 census, 74% of Austrians identified themselves as Roman Catholic. Immigration has increased the proportion of Muslims in Austria. Small Lutheran minorities are located mainly in Vienna, Carinthia, and Burgenland. With only s e v e n I n de p e nd e n t B a p t i s t missionaries serving in this country of 8.2 million, the need is great for more workers.

How can I help support the missionaries of New Testament Baptist Church?
In II Corinthians 8 and 9, the Bible teaches grace giving. It is also called Faith Promise Giving because all of Gods graces are received by faith. This Biblical plan of giving enables each individual of the church to give a weekly offering for Missions. It is a freewill offering. The amount of the offering is determined by the individuals faith in Gods provision. It is trusting God to supply the amount that He has impressed upon your heart to give through our church for Missions. It is not a pledge to the church, but a faith promise that is made to the Lord. Nevertheless, a promise to God should be more binding than a pledge made to a man or an organization. It is a promise that you will give a Faith Promise Offering above your tithe and regular offerings for the missionary outreach of our church. Since this is a voluntary commitment between you and the Lord, the church will not contact you about your commitment. The portion of your commitment card that is given to the church SHOULD NOT contain your name. The church is interested in the amount of your weekly commitment so that the church can properly adjust the Missions budget. The church giving envelopes allow you to write one check for your tithes, regular offerings, and Missions giving. Make one check payable to the church and indicate the amounts in the spaces provided on the giving envelope. Its that easy! The churches of Macedonia (II Corinthians 8:1-5) were perfect examples and provide an excellent explanation of Grace Giving. After the Christians gave themselves to the Lord, He enabled them to give beyond their expectations. God is interested in our hearts. Once He has our hearts, our giving will reflect our love for Him and His work.
Our church is looking for a man who is faithful to the services of the church and would be willing to videotape the church services. See the Pastor.
