ERROR STATE Paper pickup error Paper jam error BJ cartridge installation error BJ cartridge mis-match error Waste ink absorber warning Low battery warning Cartridge leave warning CODE E1 E2 E6 E8 C1 C5 C 6 / Bk Blinks BEEP 2x 2x 2x 2x 2x 2x 2x DESCRIPTION Occurs when the paper cannot be fed properly. Occurs when the paper sensor detects a paper longer than 20 inches. Occurs when the printer does not detect the BJ cartridge. (A bad printhead is possible.) Occurs when a color BJ cartridge is installed or when the black BJ cartridge is not recognized. Install or replace a BC-10. Occurs when the remaining capacity of the absorber is 1%. Press ON LINE to resume. F14 error may occur soon. Occurs when the input voltage is 11.1 to 11.8 VDC. Normal voltage is 13VDC +2.5VDC 1.5VDC. Occurs when the cartridge is in the replacement mode for 5 minutes or longer. Displayed when ink low warning function is enabled. Occurs when the calculated ink consumption exceeds the maximum value in EEPROM. The cartridge may be out of ink. Replace the ink cartridge and reset the ink low warning by pressing the MENU button once. Occurs when battery power is low. Occurs when the result of the ROM check during the initializing operation fails. Occurs when the result of the RAM check during the initializing operation fails. Occurs when data cannot be written into the EEPROM. Occurs when the home position cannot be detected. Occurs when the print position correction cannot be detected. (Irregularity in the carriage movement.) Occurs when the input voltage is incorrect. (The power adapter or battery may be bad.) Occurs when the temperature sensor's reading on the logic board is abnormal. (A bad printhead is possible.) Occurs when the temperature of the diode sensor in the BJ cartridge head exceeds the prescribed level. (A bad printhead is possible.) Occurs when the printer does not detect the cartridge in a position other than BJ cartridge removal position. (A bad printhead is possible.) Occurs when the "total waste ink amount" recorded by the EEPROM exceeds the prescribed limit. Waste ink absorber pad may need to be replaced and the counter needs to be reset.
