SESSION I INTRODUCTION

A. VICTORY is WINNING the mastery in battle over odds or difficulties.

B. You will never walk in VICTORY until you know that your enemy is
DEFEATED.

C. Doubt, defeat and despair are not the kind of stuff from which you can
build a strong VICTORIOUS life.

D. You can never be a WINNER as long as you see yourself as a

helpless, hopeless victim of the Devil.

E. In all things you are more than CONQUERORS through Him who loves
you.

F. There will still be CHALLENGES in your life although this victorious life
brings about tremendous blessings and benefits.

G. Challenges come in the forms of OPPOSITIONS and TEMPTATIONS.

H. Oppositions come in various ways:

1. They RIDICULE you.

2. They STOP associating with you.

3. They HATE with you.

I. Temptation is another form of ATTACK on your Christian life.

B. VICTORY OF CHRIST

1. Over FLESH.
Live by the Spirit. Gal 5:16-21

2. Over WORLD
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4

3. Over THE DEVIL.

Submit to God. Resist the devil. James 4:7

SESSION III HOW TO BE AN OVERCOMER

A. OVERCOMING THE WORLD

1. RENOUNCE the defilement and methods of the world – 2 Pet 2:20

2. SEPARATE from corruption – Acts 2:40

3. PRACTICE godliness – Matt 5:38-48

4. CONSECRATE to God – Mal 3:18-21

5. LIVE by faith – 1 John 5:4-5

6. EVANGELISE the world – Matt 24:14

B. OVERCOMING THE FLESH

1. By PERSONAL stand and decision making. (Phil 4:8)

2. By CONFESSING the Word. (Col 3:16-17)

3. By REPENTANCE from sinful lifestyle. (Gal 5:19-21)

C. OVERCOMING THE DEVIL

1. ABANDON all forms of idolatry and false worship.

2. DESTROY / REMOVE all objects linked with the occult. (Gal 5:20)

3. BE COMMITTED to the Lord.

4. By DEFENSIVE action. (Eph 5:16)

5. Be on GUARD at all time. (Eph 5:15)

6. Resist the DEVIL at all time. (Jms 5:4-7)

7. Put on your ARMOUR at all time. (Eph 5:14-18)

12. Witness and WIN others to the Lord. (Acts 1:8)

SESSION IV LIVING IN VICTORY

A. OUR GOD IS SOMEBODY

1. You have a God who is :

a) LOOKING out for you. (2 Chron 16:9)

b) WANTING to meet with you. (2 Chron 7:14)

c) LONGING to fellowship with you. (Jer 29:11-14)

2. What makes our faith so special? :

a) Because it REVOLVES around the person of a living God.

b) Therefore, your Christian experience should be a REAL

experience.

3. No one is too SINFUL to meet with God.

Paul was an angry, proud and a murderous man. One encounter with
God, his life was changed for good.

4. No one is too WEAK to experience God.

Elijah was discouraged and depressed. He even wanted to die! One touch
from God, he was empowered to complete his destiny in life.

5. No one is too OLD to meet with God.

Moses was already 80 years old when he had the burning bush encounter.
But one glimpse of God’s glory, his life was changed for good.

B. GOD HAS MADE YOU SOMEBODY

1. Jesus Christ has given you a PERFECT victory over the Devil.

2. Your part is to ENFORCE and keep the victory and live your life as a
victorious Christian.

3. It is important that you KNOW who you are in Christ Jesus.

4. You have a DIVINE authority, which you may exercise to overcome your
enemy there on earth.

5. The source of your authority was not merely by speaking Jesus’ Name but
in your RELATIONSHIP with Him.

6. It takes more than RIGHT words to face and fight the Devil. It takes a right
relationship with God.

C. VICTORY IS YOURS TO KEEP

How to continue to grow in victorious living?

1. Read the BIBLE daily.

2. Talk to God in PRAYER daily.

3. FELLOWSHIP with other believers.

4. The Holy Spirit is your HELPER.

When you receive Christ, the Holy Spirit comes into your life to help you in
your Christian walk.

John 16:7 – “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I
go away, for if I do not go away the Helper will not come to you, but if I
depart, I will send Him to you”.

5. Make YOUR CHURCH a spiritual home.

6. God has a channel through which He operates our planet earth. It is called
the CHURCH.

7. Possess the desire to live a HOLY and RIGHTEOUS life.
