8 Figure 8 shows a weight potometer. An experiment is carried out to study the effects of
wind on the rate of transpiration

The rate of transpiration is measured with two set of weight potometer (figure 8) , one
set is placed under room condition as a control and another set is placed near a fan
(switch on). The reading of the beam balance (the weight of potometer) is recorded
every 5 minutes until 30 minutes and the results are tabulated in Table 8.1.
