I have been an editor/writer/producer most of my 18 year career and I like learning new
techniques/systems to help me in the creative process. I have used traditional and new
technologies to aid me in my work. I enjoy the creative process and I also have the curiosity and
ability to learn new gear/software.

I took over as the main editor/writer/producer of News sweeps and topical promos for the 10pm
WJZY/WCNC News 6 partnership until it ended.
I currently work on weekly episodic, local contest and event promos as well as working on graphics for the
two stations. I’ve blended the looks from the Networks into our local look for every new package for both
stations. This requires a good understanding of Photoshop and After Effects. I also took the lead in
operating and maintaining one authoring and two on-air DekoCast branding boxes. We use these for
Lower 3rd and Squeezeback branding of promotional content and some sales revenue.
I also took the lead and researched new edit systems based on cost and what would work best for our
station/editors. We upgraded four edit bays to new Quad-Core G5 Macs running Final Cut Pro Studio.
This package included Motion, Livetype, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Compressor.

Responsible for writing, producing and editing daily news topical sweep series, image, contest and
proof-of performance promos as well as tagging network spots for two stations. Incorporated new
Network look into local promos for both stations. Work edited on linear GVG/Sony edit suite and
Speed Razor Non-Linear system. Worked with the News department to incorporate new graphic look
for News shows using Photoshop for Inscriber Character Generator.

WCBD-TV2 ABC/NBC AFFILIATE CHARLESTON, SC
Responsible for operation and maintenance of both Stratasphere Non-Linear and Grass Valley Group
Linear edit suites.
Responsible for editing all station promotional content including news image, news sweep series and
POP spots. Worked mostly by myself but had edit sessions with other station producers.
Write and produce image and news series spots for sweeps as well as daily 5pm and 6pm news
topicals and edited various local commercials with clients or in-house commercial producers.
On-line editor working with in-house director on commercials and daily production for daily 5pm and
6pm newscasts as well as Tape Operator for Live Newscasts.
Camera operator/floor director for in-studio news shows and on-location news and special events.
Fill in Audio operator for live morning newscasts, live news cut-ins, commercial production and
various other duties associated with studio production.
