Raja airs another deceptive ad

Desperate Raja attacks to divert attention from lawsuits, outsourcing
County Executive candidate D. Raja is up with another false negative ad attacking Rich Fitzgerald in an attempt to divert attention away from his record of suing 84 employees, including one who decided to not work for Raja because his mother had cancer and his record of outsourcing jobs overseas. Raja has nothing but a failed record as Mt. Lebanon Commissioner, where he failed to deliver on his two major campaign promises when he first sought office, so he is now resorting to desperate tactics because he knows he is losing. Raja is attacking Rich Fitzgerald with a completely false negative ad because he knows that he is losing badly because voters will never support someone who enriched themselves by outsourcing jobs overseas and suing 84 employees, Fitzgeralds campaign manager Mike Mikus said. Rich Fitzgerald fought to streamline county government, kept property taxes low and reformed county government and that is exactly what he will do as the next County Executive.

Rajas Rhetoric vs. Reality

Reality Media outlets have confirmed that Raja sued 84 employees WTAE did a fact check on Rich Fitzgeralds commercial and found that Raja did sue 84 employees, including a man whose mother had cancer. VO: The truth? Raja created over 300 good American paying jobs

Raja Planned to Expand Outsourcing In 2005, Raja said that his companys goal was to triple the number of employees employed in his overseas office and to make outsourcing comprise 80% of CEIs revenues. [Business Standard, 03/08/11] Rajas Company Boasts About Outsourcing Rajas company boasts of its outsourcing activitys on its web site, www.ceiamerica.com, and claims that outsourcing is good for business. Organizations are increasingly moving towards outsourcing to create an advantage when competing with others in the same marketplace, Rajas web site says. When successfully used, outsourcing creates a savings of both time and money. This savings, when reinvested, can allow an organization to use more of its resources in the areas that are core to its business. Thinking of outsourcing as an investment in its core activities, an organization can have more resources available for its core marketplace without sacrificing

necessary services. [http://www.ceiamerica.com/outsourcing.aspx] Company Has Sued at Least 84 Ex-Employees, 1996-2009 Since 1996, CEI has sued 84 different former employees in Allegheny County Court, regarding a few different topics typically a failure to meet their committed length of employment, as agreed to in their Employee Agreement. More recently, lawsuits have involved a failure to provide the mandatory 4 weeks notice before quitting. At least 13 of these cases involved employees who CEI helped secure H-1B visas. (Based on the names of Defendants, its highly likely that nearly all the cases involve H-1B workers, but this cannot be documented in the lawsuits or responses.) Many employees countersued, and several won, alleging that the Agreement was invalid, constituted involuntary service, and was made illegal by a 1998 law. Rich Fitzgerald sent an email which contained no

threatened them if he didnt pay.

Its a record of failure and corruption. We tried Fitzgeralds way. It doesnt work. Raja for County Executive

threats Raja knows there were no threats in Fitzgeralds email. It was nothing more than an email asking for contributions.
