1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The following marketing plan forms the basis for the introduction of a range of innovative new products in the pen drive category. The analysis allows us to outline the best strategies to follow for the achievement of the companys strategic goals. YuMei will be marketed as a multi functional pen drive while striving to reinforce the companys status as the leader in innovation and successful product launches. Our major competitors are Kingston, SanDisk, and Transcend. We aim to create superior quality products that fit your high - tech lifestyle, and we believe in WIN, WIN, and WIN philosophy. The main objective is always to be a customer driven company, and focus on providing the superior quality products that fits high - tech lifestyle. We also include various studies like the market analysis, competition analysis and product analysis and technology analysis to find out the feasibility of the product in the market. Then the entire segmentation, targeting and positioning for the product is designed with the complete product mix and product variants with their respective pricing and the logic behind the pricing. We offer a wide range of pen drives such as low end, popular and the luxury which caters to different segments of the target group. We would target students, business, working professionals and Corporate Industries. When compare to other storage devices pen drives are helpful for these target groups in easy way of transferring and storing data.

2.0 PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION It is featuring a blue, green, red, and silver design and a convenient lanyard, the YuMei USB Flash Drive lets you transfer, store, and share your files the smart way. The compact size and plug-and-play functionality provides a fashionable and user-friendly storage and backup solution. This USB Flash Drive had been add-valued with using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips, virus detector, and also timer. This RFID is use to identify the USB Flash Drive when it is disappear anywhere through our pc. Besides that, virus detector system also been added in this USB. It is used to detect the virus when we use this product in any PC or laptop. Furthermore, timer also had been added in this product to make sure the user use the USB in limited time. 3.0 TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION a) RFID SYSTEM The proposed system has a two-folded purpose: first, from the computer side, to protect the file system from potential malware coming out of unauthorized flash drives, and second, from the flash drive side; to protect stored data from being accessed by unauthorized users logged in regular computers. This concept seeks to add one more cost-effective layer of protection against threats to data either in the computer or the flash-drive. The enhancement consists of attaching an RFID reader to the main USB hub of the computer and an RFID tag to the USB flash drive upon detection that an USB device has been plugged in, the RFID reader will try to get the ID of the flash drive. Whether there is no response or the ID is invalid, the flash drive will be denied any access to the computer. In a more advanced version, the protection scheme will include a computational RFID tag to shut down the enhanced flash drive whenever plugged into an unauthorized computer. b) UF32 Microcontroller The function of the UF32 is to get the USB Mass Storage (hereafter referred as MS) command from PC via USB 2.0 interfaces and decodes them for MS read/write. c) NAND Flash The thumb drive consists of the UF32, the NAND Flash. The UF32 has 32K-bytes of Flash memory, 30MHz bus speed, a Smart Media (hereafter referred as SM) module and appropriate number of I/O pins makes this MCU suited for thumb drive solutions. The main features of the reference design include: USB interface 480Mbps data transfer rate LED display The device has a 528-byte static register which allows program and read data to be transferred between the register and the memory cell array in 528-byte increments. The erase operation is implemented in a single block unit (16K-bytes 512 bytes: 528 bytes 32 pages). The erase and program operations are automatically executed making the device most suitable for applications such as solid-state file storage, voice recording, image file memory for still cameras and other systems which require high-density non-volatile memory data storage.

4.0 MARKET AND COMPETITION MARKET Our possible and potential target market includes students, professionals and also other group of knowledgeable people. The typical customers for our product is group of people which have Information Technology (IT) based information or knowledge, people which needs to do work faster and safely using pen drive ,and also people who are currently using the normal pen drive. The pen drive is widely used by all the segments because of its features. But they are widely used by the students, business and working professionals because of their unique needs. Therefore we are targeting this particular segment of the people. We would target Students, Business, Working Professionals and Corporate Industries / Institutions comes under Luxury, Popular and Low end segment, which frequently transfers data. When compare to other storage devices pen drives are helpful for these target groups in easy way of transferring and storing data. 5.0 BUSINESS MODEL Our companys business model will be evolving. Initially, we are planning to sell our product direct to customers (B2C), business to business (B2B) through major retailers such as cyber cafs and computer accessories retailers and so on. Our marketing strategy will be multilevel marketing; we will promote our products via internet and direct selling. As for business to customer (B2C) type model, there will be web site for our company. Customers can view information regarding to our products. They can choose their favorite color pen drive as we are offering customized made product. Some customers prefer to buy things from home. Therefore, online shopping will be the best way. There are three main ways to sell products on the Web the first is Selling Products from a Web Site Storefront. Many Web stores feature customer service tools (such as FAQ pages and live chat) that allow our customers to get information and provide feedback. The site even uses cookies to help it "remember" what our customer like to browse and order. Our Web store makes money from the charges to our customers for goods that we provide to them. The second one is, Selling Products on Auction Web Sites. Thru online auction we have some advantages over the traditional kind: It can attract a larger audience of bidders because it removes geographical boundaries, it can continue for an extended period of time, and it gives people a way to bid on goods right from their home computers. Our customers can be both from domestic and international. If customers order via online, we will make sure they get their order within one week for domestic and two weeks for international. Apart from that, customers can buy our products from shops nearby them. As for business to business (B2B) type, our major retailers will be shops which selling computer accessories and cyber cafes. This is because customers usually will by pen drives in such places. As for starting, we will sell our products to huge computer accessories shops which popular in several cities. For example, we will sell to Megamate and PC Depot (Ipoh), C-Zone and AAB Network (Kuala Lumpur), CG Computers (Penang), Dunco (Sabah). Apart from that, we will sell our products in PC Fairs. This is because we should make customers be aware of existing of our brand. In future we might rethink our business models to include more retail distribution channels, small retail shops or sales directly out of our warehouses.
