STUDENTS AT PIEAS Students studying at PIEAS

Students at PIEAS
Rafia Malik BS-(CIS) 8th Semester, Highest CGPA

When I first came to PIEAS I was a little apprehensive if I was making the right decision by coming here. The idea of living far away from home, making new friends and adjusting to an altogether new environment was overwhelming. But as the years elapsed, life became fabulous and challenging. The credentials of the faculty members, the facilities provided and the studying environment here are appreciable. I actually feel that my years at PIEAS have helped me enhance my knowledge and skills and enabled me to become a better person in all respects. It is an ideal place for those who are willing to explore knowledge and confront the real challenges of life. Aqeel Mumtaz BS-(CIS) 6th Semester, Highest CGPA I have spent three years in PIEAS and it has been a wonderful experience for me. Life at PIEAS is tough but once you get used to it, all the hard work is worth it. Faculty of PIEAS is highly qualified and also very helpful. It has been a joy learning curve for me and I hope that my story here serves as a platform for bigger and better things in my future professional life. Sidra Malik BS-(CIS) 4th Semester, Highest CGPA If to be asked, where the exquisiteness, discipline and the most studious environment combines, I would say in PIEAS. I speculate how my fate has brought me in this small world which has augmented my skills and proficiency. The institute not only grooms ones personality to ideal engineers and scientists when graduated but also enhances magnanimous attitude and co- curricular activities of students. Other than best facilities available for students, the supervision of exceedingly skilled and highly cooperative faculty is worth admirable. I feel so secure here that today when I think of being here, I consider myself one of the blessed persons living on earth. Umm-e-Hani BS-(CIS) 2nd Semester, Highest CGPA Experience here in PIEAS is something very difficult to explain, I could not ever think that I would get such a wonderful rather marvelous opportunity of nourishing myself. This institute has provided me with all possibilities of excelling in this era of computers. It is all just because of our highly qualified faculty that I feel an inexpressible zeal and enthusiasm in me for studying and this unseen morale has made it possible for me to cope up with the high standards of PIEAS.

Muhammad Usman Akram BS- (CIS) 6th Semester If someone wants to sharpen his skills, knowledge and thought; then he might need an environment where he can find skilled people who co operate with him and can let him groom under their knowledge and experience. If I have to name a place like that then I have only one name in my mind PIEAS. This is the place where I found the most skilled faculty, full of co operation and skills. After coming to PIEAS, I care less about my future because now I am confident about my skills in my respected areas of interest. I think anyone who got chance to come here as a student is blessed an d got a chance to raise him self among the skilled ones.

Noorulain Khurshid BS-(CIS) 8th Semester I had many traditional impressions of a university life before I came to PIEAS, but after coming here all that turned out to be an entirely different experience. The transition from high school to university was rather daunting at first, with a mountain of work, lectures and labs combined with almost complete independence in studies. But within a short space of time and continued motivation from the faculty I quickly learned how to manage my time efficiently. The educational facilities and a totally educative environment here at PIEAS has not only helped me gather an awesome amount of knowledge but has also nourished inside me an entire code of conduct. Studying at PIEAS has lived up to my expectations and everyday I feel myself more enlightened and acquainted than yesterday.

I dont know how to put pleasure of life at PIEAS hostel in a few lines! It is a peaceful environment,
which helps students to fully concentrate on their studies. The facilities provided here really made me feel at ease. I think its the most facilitated hostel I have ever seen. Moreover, I love the greenery around here. Hostel mess is also providing good service.

Muhammad Shoaib Zafar BS- (CIS) 6th Semester The environment of PIEAS hostels is very peaceful and friendly. I have also visited many other universities and their hostels but couldnt find such a peaceful environment as here. The rooms of the hostels are very well furnished and beautifully designed. We are provided with all the facilities a student should have. All of us live like good friends rather I must say brothers. PIEAS hostels are also provided with many sport facilities e.g., pool, table-tennis, badminton, carom board, chess etc. Other than these, football and cricket grounds, tennis court, basketball courts are very well constructed. The food prepared in mess is very delicious and of very low cost.

Syed Muhammad Ali Hasnain, Professional Services Consultant. Teradata , Islamabad, Pakistan

Its been an unforgettable time I spent in PIEAS. PIEAS is no doubt an excellent place to study with high standards, bright history and great traditions. I am proud to be the part of first under-graduate BS (CIS) batch 2000-04. The main thing that distinguishes PIEAS from all other institutions is the dedication of faculty members towards their profession that helped not only the students in their academic achievements but also in their moral and ethical life. I can say with great confidence that today what so ever I am; this is only because of this prestigious Institution. Its my pray to Allah almighty that he shower his special blessings upon this institution so that it can spread the Glory of Knowledge and power of Wisdom to the Nation forever, Amin.

Fayyaz ul Amir Afsar Minhas MS System Engineering Student, PIEAS, Islamabad At the time of writing, it is my sixth consecutive year in PIEAS: After having completed my bachelors in Computer and Information Sciences, I am currently under the fellowship program for MS in Systems Engineering. Honestly speaking, PIEAS as I see it, is not just an institution rather it is an experience - the best learning experience a person can have. This fact is verified by PIEAS being graded as the best Engineering university in Pakistan by HEC. However, what distinguishes it from others is not just this honour, rather the zeal, fervor and determination of its people to climb up the staircase of development and reach for newer horizons. Personally, what I like the most about PIEAS is its faculty which is always on the lookout to assist students and enable them to fulfill their endeavours. In relation to Computer Sciences, PIEAS has a unique multidimensional standpoint with expertise in many fields. For all those who wish to join PIEAS, let me be the among the first ones to welcome you and, Inshallah, you will find this place more challenging, enjoyable and blooming with oppurtunity with each passing moment.

Raqib Rafique TSM Consultant EMEA Global Consulting Center Islamabad Pakistan PIEAS is a unique place to spend 4 years. The campus is beautifully laid out. Academics are very rigorous. The environment tends to be more competitive, but couples that with supportive aspect also. Its a great place if you are a very motivated individual. While there are many teachers who are more concerned with their research work than with making sure students understand course materials and are very bright people. Each faculty member has in some way impacted me as not only a student, but they have helped to mould my character and I am eternally indebted to many of them. The friendships not only with peers but faculty are amazing. All the opportunities and relationships have come in very helpful as my life has continued and progressed beyond PIEAS.

32

Zainab Qadeer BSS Operations Telenor, Islamabad Pakistan Being a graduate of PIEAS gave me a confidence to pursue great opportunities PIEAS not only provided us with excellent facilities and resources but broadens our perspective as well. I found the faculty to be a very kind and caring group of people who are interested in helping you to develop personally and professionally. They encourage development of your own ideas and pursuits rather than give you a formula for what you will do.
