Participation in Varsity Issue

The UPLB CA Student Council AY 2011-2012 responded on the call of our Chancellor on his request to give insights on his new scheme of the Universitys sports program. The CA-SC strongly opposed the proposal of the new scheme of the Universitys sports program because of the following points: The proposal didnt undergone tedious information dissemination of the administrations plan for the sports program especially to the persons (DHK Chair, varsity players and coaches) affected by the said plan. The proposal did not undergo a diplomatic process of making policies here in the university. The administration didnt consult the DHK Chair varsity players and coaches regarding this scheme. The c o ine d term varsity is important to the current members of the students in the varsity program because of its privileges (like varsity excuse slips) to be called as representative of the university in tournament (e.g. SCUAA). There is no conflict with the students (as per consulted by the CA-SC) specially in the student organizations of CA the right to prioritize the UPLB Varsity Team in the sports facilities within the campus.
