Selling is a simple process to exchange of goods for an agreed sum of mo ney.

Sales management refers to achieving the sales goals of a company effectively by planning, training, leading and controlling resources of that organization. MARKETING:-Marketing is a "social and managerial process by which individuals an d groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and values with others."[1] It is an integrated process through which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationships in order to capture value from customers in return.[1] Marketing is used to create the customer, to keep the customer and to satisfy th e customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, it can be concluded that marketing management is one o f the major components of business management. The evolution of marketing was caused due to mature markets and over capacities in the last decades. Companies then shifted the focus from production more to the customer in order to stay profitable. The term marketing concept holds that achieving organisational goals depends on knowing the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfactions.[2] It proposes that in order to satisfy its organizational objectives, an organization should anticipate the needs and wants of consumers and satisfy these more effectively than competitors.[2] SALE:-A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in selling products or services i n return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity.[1] A sale is completed by the seller, the owner of the goods. It starts with consen t (or agreement) to an acquisition or appropriation or request followed by the passing of title (property or owners hip) in the item and the application and due settlement of a price, the douche of or any claim upon the i tem. The purchaser, though a party to the sale, does not execute the sale, only the seller does that. To be precise the sale completes prior to the payment and gives rise to the obligation of payment. If the seller completes the first two above stages (consent and passing ownership) of the sale prior to settlement of the price, th e sale is still valid and gives rise to an obligation to pay. ADVERTISEMENT:-Advertising is a form of communication used to influence individu als to purchase products or services or support political candidates or ideas. Frequently it communicates a message that includes the name of the product or service and how that product or service could potentially benefit the consumer. Advertising often attempts to persuade potential customers to purchase or to consume a particular brand of product or service. (9343665882richa) Modern advertising developed with the rise of mass production in the late 19th a

nd early 20th centuries.[1] Commercial advertisers often seek to generate increased consumption of their pro ducts or services through branding, which involves the repetition of an image or product name in an effort to assoc iate related qualities with the brand in the minds of consumers. Different types of media can be used to delive r these messages, including traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, television, radio, billboards o r direct mail. Advertising may be placed by an advertising agency on behalf of a company or other organization . Organizations that spend money on advertising promoting items other than a consu mer product or service include political parties, interest groups, religious organizations and governmental age ncies. Non-profit organizations may rely on free modes of persuasion, such as a public service announcement. Money spent on advertising has increased in recent years. In 2007, spending on a dvertising was estimated at more than $150 billion in the United States[2] and $385 billion worldwide,[3] and the latter to exceed $450 billion by 2010.[citation needed] CUSTOMER:-A customer, also called client, buyer, or purchaser, is usually used t o refer to a current or potential buyer or user of the products of an individual or organization, called the supp lier, seller, or vendor. This is typically through purchasing or renting goods or services. However, in certain c ontexts, the term customer also includes by extension anyone who uses or experiences the services of another. A customer may also be a viewer of the product or service that is being sold despite deciding to not buy them. The word derives from "custom," meaning "habit"; a customer was someone who freq uented a particular shop, who made it a habit to purchase goods of the sort the shop sold there rather than elsewhe re, and with whom the shopkeeper had to maintain a relationship to keep his or her "custom," meaning expected pur chases in the future. The slogans "the customer is king" or "the customer is god" or "the customer is always right" indicate the importance of customers to businesses - although the last expression is sometime s used ironically. However, "customer" also has a more generalised meaning as in customer service a nd a less commercialised meaning in not-for-profit areas. To avoid unwanted implications in some areas such as go vernment services, community services, and education, the term "customer" is sometimes substituted by words s uch as "constituent" or "stakeholder". This is done to address concerns that the word "customer" implies a narrowly commercial relationship involving the purchase of products and services. However, some managers in this environment, in which the emphasis is on being helpful to the people one is dealing with rather than on commercial sales, comfortably use the word

"customer" to both internal and external customers. Advertising is communication used to influence individuals to purchase products or services or support political candidates or ideas.
