Suitability of G655 Fiber

G655 fiber is suitable for DWDM system which meets our increasing transmission capacity G655 fiber is suitable for long haul high capacity WDM transmission system Positive dispersion of G655 Fiber inhibits four wave mixing High effective area of G655 Fiber (still less then SMF) mitigates non-linear effects Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) boost the optical signals in C window, which is ideal for NZDS Fiber.

Advantages of G655 over G652

SMF networking requires longer length of DCF. This leads to higher signal distortion due to non linear effects of DCF. Higher power loss of network due to high losses of DCF Lower cost directly modulated DFB lasers with higher dispersion tolerance can be used because of lower dispersion in G655 Highest system performance Dispersion optimized for long haul, high data rate and maximum channel density Future proof bandwidth capability (to 10 Gbps)
