1Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a

resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a
faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
13:3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I
gain nothing.
13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
13:6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
13:7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
13:8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues,
they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
13:9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
13:10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When
I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
13:12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know
in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1Corthians 2:1 When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom
as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2:2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was
with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins
according to the Scriptures,
15:4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves
fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord--a curse be on him. Come, O Lord !
16:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
16:24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.

1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are
being saved it is the power of God.

2Corinthians
4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs
them all.
4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.

5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the
righteousness of God.

7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that
contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

4:6 For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give
us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O Lord , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty
and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord , is the kingdom; you
are exalted as head over all.

4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, 'Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.' And God
granted his request.

16:8 Give thanks to the Lord , call on his name; make known among the nations what he has
done. 16:9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. 16:10 Glory in his holy
name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

1 Thessalonian 1:2 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. 1:3 We
continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor

5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole
spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5:16 Be joyful always 5:17 pray continually 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's

1Peter 1:7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even
though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when
Jesus Christ is revealed.

1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us
new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 3:14 But even if you should suffer for
what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened.' 3:15 But in your
hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to
give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering
God's grace in its various forms.

4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

1John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our
eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the
Word of life. 1:2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the
eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 1:3 We proclaim to you what we
have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the
Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 1:4 We write this to make our joy complete.

3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay
down our lives for our brothers.

5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know
that you have eternal life.

attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises
in your hearts.
