V Construction/ Quality/ Safety Management


The Safety, Quality and Timeliness of all field activities on the Project will be ensured through the implementation of the following Construction Procedures The construction procedures establish standards for the performance of construction activities and the assurance of safety ,quality and timeliness throughout the PM/CM organization and all contractors field activities. Contractor Site Logistics. The Contractor is required by contract to submit his Site Logistics Plans showing, site access, temporary roads, storage areas, equipment and plant areas, site offices, toilets, fabrication areas, wheel wash, temporary site lighting with backup generator, fire safety procedures, security posts and traffic control for the project. See General Requirements Division 1 for further information on Site Logistics

Daily Construction Report. Each Contractor is required to submit three ( 3 ) copies of their Daily Construction Report ( DCR) to the PM/CM at the end of the next working day. The Contractor must show day and night time work with the manpower for each shift. See Sample form below also read General Requirements Division 1 for further information on what is required in your DCR.

Non Conformance Report. The only comment I would add is See General Requirements Division 1 for further information on NCRs.

Site Inspection. The Contractor is required to notify the PM/CM and /or Consultants 24 hours in advance of inspections for both Material and Site Works. The Contractor is required to use the Material Inspection Request ( MIR) form and Work Inspection Request ( WIR ) form requesting the inspections. Please reference the forms on the following pages and read the General Requirements Division 1 for further information on Site Inspections and Material Submittals. All material must comply with project specifications or be better than specified otherwise submittal will be rejected. See General Requirements Division 1 for further information on MIRs and WIRs.

Safety Audits and Inspections It is the Contractors full responsibility to keep work areas free of hazards which could affect the workers health and safety at all times. In addition to the ongoing monitoring of the site by the Contractors management and supervisory personnel, the Contractors safety manager shall perform a formal inspection and safety audit of the site once a week to identify any hazardous conditions noted and submit measures and recommendations for improving site safety and addressing unsafe conditions. A written report of all inspections and the results shall be submitted accordingly to the PM/CM by the Contractor every week .All major unsafe hazards must be rectified within 24 hours .If the PM/CM find any violation to site Safety Procedures by the Contractors workers/Sub Contractor then safety fines will be imposed.
