l Festival del Jazz de Boquete
(del 2 al 4 Feb) agregó otra
dimensión a la escena cultural
que cada vez es mayor en este
pequeño pueblo de montaña. Ideado
y producido por el promotor Antonio
Singh, la Sra. Anayansi Menéndez y
Servio Tribaldos , dos conciertos
importantes tomaron lugar durante
las noches del festival, una gala de
los patrocinadores en e Panamonte
Inn & Spa, una programa de radio en
vivo, varios talleres durante el día, un
domingo en el parque, y algunas
sesiones improvisadas de jam.
El concierto del viernes en la noche
en Restaurante Sabor Escondido de
Valle Escondido ofreció a la leyenda
panameña y a visitante frecuente de
Boquete Carlos Garnett (fresco del
recién festival del jazz de Panamá), y
como invitados el cuarteto caliente
de David Dubarran Jazz Quartet.
Mientras tanto el jazz se veia
alrededor del pueblo, el restaurante
Bistro Boquete presentaba al duo
El Bistro, el Machu Pichu y el Hibiscus
proporcionaron las comidas
fantásticas para los artistas principales
durante el transcurso del fin de

off the air last February. No longer were
we able to check in on the weather at
home while we traveled about - or the
weather outside from inside our
windowless computer room. So we
decided to do something about it.
It took a while to get things
together, but now Boquete is back on
the weather map. The Noticias
Bajareque Times has purchased and
installed our own weather station in
El Santuario. Now the meteorologically
curious can just browse to www.
boquete-bajareque-times.com; click
on the Weather/Webcam link on the
left of the page and you’ll see a full
display of climate parameters,
including current, high, and low
temperatures; wind speed and
direction; humidity, dewpoint and
rainfall; and barometric pressure
along with its rate of change. We’ve
even got a graph of the temperature
and barometric pressure for the
previous five days.
All this is brought to you through
the technology of an Oregon Scientific
WMR-968 weather station. The
various instruments are mounted
outside in the clear, away from
obstructions and they are powered
by their own solar panels. They collect
data continuously and radio it to the
weather station receiver which is in
an office nearby. The weather station

a la provincia de Chiriquì en compañía
de algunos miembros de su gabinete,
con el propósito de entregar becas a

algunos problemas e inquietudes de
esas comunidades.
La gira en si, tenía como propósito
la aprobación de proyectos consultivos
con fondos provenientes del Canal de
Panamá, beneficiándose de esta
manera los corregimientos de algunos
sectores entre ellos el distrito de
Boquete, que es un distrito que
actualmente presenta una serie de
problemas a pesar del crecimiento en
su población y desarrollo.
Los fondos destinados para estos
proyectos se estiman en 188 mil
balboas, además 28 mil balboas serán
donados adicionalmente por el FES y
por parte del Gobierno Nacional.
El programa de Desarrollo
Publica (Prodec) tiene como finalidad
brindar sus aportes económicos a las
comunidades que presenten algún tipo
de problema económico y social, que
mejor forma para hacerlo invitando a
todos los miembros de las comunidades
en compañía de los diferentes
representantes de cada corregimiento
para que expresen sus inquietudes.
En la reunión realizada el pasado
nueve de febrero en el distrito de
Boquete se dieron a conocer los
proyectos prioritarios de los diferentes
corregimientos entre ellos la
Rehabilitación y mejoras del
Acueducto, ya que este es uno de los
temas que actualmente ha generado
mucha controversia por parte de sus
moradores debido a la falta del vital
líquido en diferentes partes del distrito,

about seismic activity. That curiosity
will be somewhat more satisfied in
the future thanks to a new program
announced by Dr. Julio Escobar,
National Secretary of Science,
Technology and Innovation, at a
briefing given at V alle Escondido on
3 February.
The secretary told an audience of
about twenty extranjeros that the
government is starting a B/.50,000
program to improve seismic monitoring
around Mt. Baru and Panama’s other
volcano (in Veraguas) and that they
have already begun a geologic study of
the history of Baru’s volcanic activity.
Apparently most earlier research has
been archeological, not geological, in

known about actual geological events
in this area. A five person research
team, consisting of two US geologists,
two Panamanian geologists and a
student, is in the field collecting samples
and studying rock formations in order
to get the raw data for the geologic
analysis.
The end result of this study will be
a better understanding of the local
geology - including the burning
question of whether the local
terremotos are caused by the volcano,
fault activity, or both. It may eventually
even lead to a warning system where
Chiricanos can receive advance notice
of increased risk of seismic or volcanic
activity.

The Coffee Chronicles
Back again from mother coffee land… Ethiopia

I
t was only seven months since my
first view of Addis Ababa from the
plane. That time everything was
dry, only the trees had some green,
but now in the rainy season green
was the main scenic color, the city
looked like a beautiful garden from
the sky.
The purpose of my trip was to
participate as a speaker at the First
Specialty Coffee Round Table at Fura
Agricultural Institute in Yerga Alem
(South Coffee Region of Ethiopia),
besides participating as coffee
volunteer trainer, I was there
representing the Coffee Quality
Institute from the U.S. through the
USAID Coffee Program.
My first week was spent in Addis, it
was the same streets crowded with
people, cars and animals, but the
environment felt different, more
foreigners, as Ethiopian call any
tourist or visitor. I thought tourism
was moving up, but I was wrong,
most of these people where from the
U.N. mission or different International
Cooperation Agencies from
developing countries, the air smells
more tense than usual. I went for my
morning sunrise jog with the mix of
Christian and Muslim chanting filling
the still empty Menelik Avenue all the
way to Muskin Plaza (where you can
run together with the most famous
Ethiopian runners, every morning).
The secret is jogging before 6 a.m.
after that it is suicidal, cars don’t stop
for people but they will for cows and
goats.
On the next day interesting specialty
coffee personalities where hitting
Addis Ababa. They included David
Roche, from the Coffee Quality
Institute coming from Tanzania after
an EAFCA meeting (East African
Coffee Association), Gigi Micheli from
Ily Café – Italy with a group of
suppliers from all over Africa, George
Hougel from the USA, Kentaru
Maruyama from Maruyama Coffee in
Japan, Meno Simmons from Trabocca-
Holland and Willem Boot who was
coming from Mizan, Tepi with a
group of specialty coffee roasters
from the USA, Finland, Holland and
Taiwan, some Ethiopian coffee
experts and a lousy sensationalist
writer from Colorado, USA. They
where at Gecha, a town close to the
suspected origin of the famous
Panama Geisha coffee line. Besides a
long drive of a couple of days and a
good view of the Ethiopian coffee
country side, they came back with
their hands empty.
The strong bureaucracy and the
notorious influence of the army even
to those levels make the search quite
complicated. What a beautiful
experience it was, sharing a couple of
weeks with this selected specialty
coffee group at such a unique coffee
place. Many ideas and opinions about
any topic related to coffee quality
techniques and trends on today’s
specialty coffee market where passed
around. Cupping Ethiopian wash,
semi-wash and natural coffees with
all this famous cuppers was one of
the main experiences of this trip.
The many different cuppers or
specialty buyers had different tastes
and aromas preferences. The harvest
season was still on, but the distinctive
Ethiopian characters came out on any
single cupping table, many of them
with defects base on harvesting,
processing and drying practices,
coffees that could be 90 points
became no more than 80 points.
Later on in my trip I began to discover
the quality problems in Ethiopian
coffees, which was part of my
working mission with the Ethiopian
coffee farmers and technicians in
Sidamo and Yergacheffee.
The Fura Specialty Coffee Round
Table was a success. It was the first
time in Ethiopian Coffee history that
a scientific and business specialty
coffee meeting took place.
Representatives from the Ethiopian
Export Association (around 120
exporters for 2.5 millions coffee bags,
where only six are farmers), along
with representatives from the Ministry
of Agriculture, Coffee Cooperative
Federation, International Specialty
Coffee Brokers, Roasters and Cuppers,
International Cooperation Agencies,
International and Local Universities
Coffee Researchers participated.
After three days of presentations
and discussions, my own picture of
Ethiopian coffee industry had been
turned upside down. In a country
with 3.5 millions coffee farmers, (the
whole population of Panama) where
the average farm size is 1.5 hectares,
there are so many different regions
and origins of coffee, farmers who
don’t know which coffee variety they
have in their plantations because of
the high biodiversity, as well as big
harvesting and processing quality
problems. It all became a complex
endless equation, from everyone’s
point of view. The big missing voice
at the round table was the “real”
Ethiopian coffee farmers.
We identified the following
problems-
-bad harvesting quality practices
-Highly bureaucratic export system
based on processors and exporters
-Highly inefficient transportation
systems (coffees take 1-2 months to
arrive to US or Japan),
-Lack of entry to the sea only one
export port option, - extreme
temperatures at transportation,
-Government control of export
license and banking

-Lack of local specialty coffee
cuppers.
After putting this together, Panama
Specialty Coffee problems became
seemingly small and simple. I finally
saw how much of our Panamanian
Specialty Coffee Farmers and Industry
had advanced into harvesting,
processing, storage, quality, and
export transportation efficiency. We
have a big advantage but that only
means we have to work harder.
Other amazing coincidence was to
be present at the press release from
the Ethiopian government against
the registration of Sidamo and
Yergacheffee as trademarks by
Starbucks, The Ethiopian government
and the Ethiopian coffee industry
where claiming their rights concerning
a private company using their most
famous coffee names as their private
label. It is a big controversy that
makes Ethiopians have doubts about
the US Coffee Industry where they
loose their legal claim against the
strongest members of the Specialty
Coffee Association of America. The
claims where based on Ethiopians
getting a better coffee price by
Starbucks, maybe their biggest coffee
client.
The only way for Ethiopia of take
back their names is through a
denomination of origin, and really
select their specialty coffees through
specialty quality coffee standards. In
this way any coffee producing country
can protect their regions identity and
help their coffee buyers or roasters to
market and promote their own estate
coffees. This work is in process right
now in Panama with Boquete, Volcan
and Candela Specialty Coffees.

t happens all the time.
You love country music,
but your spouse likes
Celtic. You invite your friend
to go to hear some Flamenco
guitar, but they like pop or
oldies music. What to do,
what to do?
As long you like guitar
music, the answer is to go
see Buddy Tetreault, a
talented musician who has
recently moved to Boquete.
He plays classical, flamenco,
Celtic, pop, country and
western, and oldies.
No rap. Thank goodness.
In keeping with their goal to bring
quality entertainment and tons of
good fun to Boquete, the Boquete
Community Players presented Mr.
Buddy Tetreault master guitarist, in
concert on Friday, Dec. 29th. Mr.
Tetreault generously donated half of
the ticket proceeds towards the
renovation of the new Boquete
Community Players Theater. Since the
performance ended with the audience
of sixty-five people on their feet with
a standing ovation, it is safe to say
that a good time was had by all.
Buddy has been living in Boquete
for about three months and is
originally from the United States. He
comes here from Costa Rica, where
he and his parents were missionaries.
He explained to the audience that he
didn’t speak very much Spanish when
he first arrived in Costa Rica, so didn’t
have a lot of friends. To occupy his
time, he decided to take up guitar.
Not having enough money to pay for
lessons, Buddy decided he would just
have to teach himself.
Eight years later, all that practice
has paid off. Some folks in the
audience sang along with a few of
the Christmas songs Buddy performed,
or sat and listened appreciatively as
he played “Over the Rainbow,”
“Yesterday”, and “Sounds of Silence.”
His fingers were a blur as they slid
across the guitar, amazing the

Buddy credits his guitar skill and
musical inspiration to God, who he
believes guided him and opened
doors for him to succeed. And indeed,
his performance did seem to have a
bit of miracle to it. .
Buddy has been an invited guest
guitarist at the twelfth International
Guitar festival in San Jose, Cost a Rica.
He frequently played at various Oprys
in the United Sates – no not the Grand
Opry, but that will no doubt be next.
In addition to playing the guitar, he is
also a composer of country, Celtic
and flamenco style songs, although
Buddy “mixes” the styles up, adding a
dash of blues to classical, a pinch of
jazz to his Celtic songs. Truly an
innovative musician.

The Boquete Jazz Festival

Friday evening’s concert at Valle Escondido’s Restaurante
Sabor Escondido featured Panamanian jazz legend and
frequent Boquete visitor Carlos Garnett (fresh from the
Panama Jazz Festival), with David’s hot Dubarran Jazz Quartet
opening.
Meanwhile jazz happened around town with the Bistro
Boquete featuring the group Fantasy Dual Jazz. The Bistro,
Machu Pichu and El Hibiscus all provided fantastic meals for
the main acts during the course of the weekend.
Saturday’s ticketed program was at the still being
renovated Boquete Community Theatre. Promoter Singh
had the foresight to have a professional stage (courtesy of
Cosechas Wine Boutique), with sound, and lights brought
in for the evening, which taxed the buildings old electrical
system but worked with the help of a clever production
crew (RS Enterprises).
The Blue Note Jazz Quartet opened with a fantastic set of
Latin flavored Jazz played by the brother duo of Jose
Maturell (guitar) and Alvaro Maturell (bass) , Eduardo Irving
(sax), and the amazing Rogelio Reyter on congas (a big guy
with an amazing light touch).
A set change gave everyone a chance to catch their
breathe, get a beverage, and gave time for host/hostess
producer Antonio Singh, and M.E.T.O.radio personality
Maria Boyd to call the winner of the drawing and speak of
the festival, radio show style. Boquete Mayor Manolo Ruiz
made a special presentation to Garnett and Bardaro and
their groups, proclaiming them “Distinguished Visitors”
to Chiriqui and Boquete.
The headliner for the evening was Italian saxaphone
wizard Gianni Bardaro and his international group Sinestetic
Jazz, featuring some very young, and very accomplished
players from around Europe. Lars Soberg (22 yrs old) from
Norway played almost shy and understated trumpet solos
that stung with great finesse at the appropriate moments.
Francesco Cali from Italy supported the brass driven group
with great piano lines while Andreas Hatholt (22 yrs old ) of
Denmark’s amazing bass gave them something to ride on.
All of this was tied together by drummer (and brother)
Jacob Hatholt (25 yrs old ) .
Sunday’s free concert in the parque was a day of free jazz of all types and
included performances by local guitar orchestra- Grupo Gatma, Gianni
Bardaro’s Sinistetic Jazz with Carlos Garnett, Tropical Jazz with UNACHI music
professor Ovidio Castillo, and the modern guitar driven jazz trio- Los
Boquete

Panama’s Treasure Ports

I
n 1510, Diego de Nicuesa was sent
from Santo Domingo to govern
Panama. Accompanying him on
the trip were 700 colonists. During
the voyage, they encountered a
mighty storm which wrecked many
of his ships, and caused the loss of
400 souls. After the storm, Nicuesa
gathered his scattered vessels and
sought refuge on the Northeastern
shore near the Darien. With his entire
company exhausted from the terrible
tempest, they reached a quiet place
on the Northeastern shore of Panama
and Diego de Nicuesa said “Paremos
aqui, en nombre de Dios!” (Let us
stop here, in the name of God). And
thus it became the settlement of
Nombre de Dios (Name of God).
Nombre de Dios, was situated near
an unhealthy swamp and Governor
Nicuesa and the original colonists all
perished from disease and indian
attacks within a year of the founding
of the town. With the founding of
the colony of Castillo de Oro (Castle
of Gold), by The Spanish crown,
Nombre de Dios was destined to
become the first major port of call for
the Spanish treasure fleet and it is
presently the oldest continuously
populated town in America. Difficult
to fortify, it was sacked many times
by pirates and buccaneers. In 1572,

El equipo que conforma la Selección
de Fútbol de Panamá ha ido mejorando
en los últimos años gracias a que el
Gobierno y la Empresa Privada comenzó
a apoyarlos económicamente dando
cabida a que se pudieran contratar
técnicos y entrenadores internacionales
que no solo los dirigen sino que apoyan y
guían a los entrenadores locales a mejorar
y aprender nuevas técnicas de
entrenamiento. Prueba de que la
inversión no ha sido en vano es que

profesionales de otros países pero lo
que vale la pena mencionar es que,
gracias a nuestra liga interna, tenemos

provincia de Chiriquí tiene por lo

nuestra liga interna pero no ha sido

When you need to call the technician.

i Friends, I am Willy - The
Computer Expert, with some
advice for when you have
problems with your computer and
need to call for help.
It is always a problem when your
computer is not working properly
and you have to call a technician.
The technician never understands
what you mean and sometimes they
don’t get there in time to help or they
can’t find the problem.
We must remember that most
computer problems are with the
software, and seldom with the
hardware.
Actually it is easy to determine
which type of problem it is, either
hardware or software, but it is very
important that you understand the
difference and can distinguish
between the two before calling for
help.
For example, a physical problem
appears immediately and the
symptoms don’t vary, example: if the
video card is damaged, you simply do
not have video, but if the video comes
and goes, this is a sign that you are
having software problems and there
is nothing wrong with the video card.
If the problem is intermittent, there
may be a logical or software solution
to correct the problem without having
to replace the part.
Now the most important thing is to
be able to identify the problem and
you can do this with a few simple
steps..

chance for a complete reset and if it was
a minor software problem, the computer
will probably work normally again.
2. The computer POST (Power On
Self Test) tests the computer, insuring
that it meets the necessary system
requirements before booting up. If
the computer fails the POST, the
computer then returns a beep code
indicating what is causing the
computer not to pass the POST.
Generally, if the computer POSTs

panameño alcanzó en la última
subasta por Internet con su variedad
geisha un precio de $50.25 por libra,
siendo considerado como el café más
caro que una subasta electrónica
haya vendido.

A new community service organization was
announced by its president and founder, Roger
Imerman. Club de Hablando Público de
Boquete has been created to provide individuals
the opportunity to quickly develop their ability
to improve their public speaking skills,
extemporaneous speaking and leadership
abilities, as well as sharpen their communication
in their native language (Spanish or English)
and effectively learn the other language. The
Club meets weekly on Saturday afternoon in
Alto Boquete and the cost is

Buenos Vecinos first food drive held at
Romeros on February 16 was a rousing success.
A big thank you goes to everyone who
purchased baskets, put money in the jar or
stopped by the display to learn more about
Buenos Vecinos. They sold seventy three $10
food baskets, twenty six $5 food baskets and
fifty five $2 food baskets.
Dinner theatre packages ($25 includes
dinner and theatre tickets for two) are available
for the Boquete Community Players production,
Boeing,Boeing opening March 22 and playing
through the 25th . Participating restaurants
include, Bistro Boquete, Palo Alto, Delicias Del

The Valle Escondido Homeowners
Association board of directors has selected a
new steering committee. The group consists
of Tracy Hallen, Fene Cartlidge, Hal Hagen,
Bruce Young, and John Rhoades. At the first
official meeting on Jan. 9, John Rhoades was
elected director and Tracy Hallen elected as
assistant director. The group held a get-

nacional de diseño, donde podrán participar
arquitectos y estudiantes en su ultimo año de
arquitectura. El ganador del presente concurso,
recibirá una Maestría patrocinada por el
IFARHU, entre otros premios.
Un aspecto innovador de este concurso, es
la participación ciudadana activa en la
escogencia del diseño ganador al convertirse
en el onceavo (11) jurado, que podrá seleccionar
el mejor diseño mediante un sistema de
votación, creado en un programa desarrollado
para este fin, las computadoras serán
distribuidas en distintas áreas publicas para
facilidad de los interesados por quince días
(15).
El jurado estará compuesto por 10 miembros
idóneos. La Madrina de este concurso es la Lic.

But that’s not all. You probably
noticed our webcam on your way to
the weather page. It’s set up facing
south from El Santuario over Bajo
Boquete and you can see Alto
Boquete in the distance. It takes a
picture every 30 seconds and relays it
to the computer, which uploads it to
the webcam page on the website.
The weather station and webcam
have been in place for just a few
weeks now. We’re continuing to

but he gave us permission to display

you see in El Santuario you can try
the weather in Volcancito instead!

Guabina en Hojas de Culantro

Ingredientes:
1 libra filetes de guabina (8 a 10 filetes)  pequeños. Agreuge el jugo de limón y deje a
2 cdas aceite de oliva
1 cda chimichurri de culantro  2. En una sartén a fuego medio vierta el
8 a 10 hojas de culantro
1 plátano maduro (opcional)
1 cdta aceite de ajonjolí  ajonjolí y la manzana, mezcle y cocine 2
Preparación:
1. Unte los filetes con el chimichurri y el
aceite.
2. Pele y corte el plátano en tajadas muy
delgadas.
3. Coloque cada filete aliñado sobre cada
hoja de culantro, cubra con tajadas de plátano
y unte ligeramente con aciete de ajonjolí.
4. Coloque sobre un papel de aluminio
untado de aceite. Hornee a 425F durante 7 a
8 minutos o hasta que el pescado esté cocido
y el plátano levemente dorado. Sirva solos o
con la salsa de manzana.

1 manzana verde en cubitos pequeños
1 cucharada jugo de limón
½ taza cebolla tajada muy delgada
½ cdta sal
¼ cdta pimienta
1 diente de ajo
½ cdta aceite de ajonjolí
½ taza caldo
¼ taza yogur natural
½ cucharadita maicena  How to prepare:

parte de la fundación, por lo tanto, es
importante que a estas personas se
les brinde todo el apoyo necesario,
para que de esta manera se sientan
verdaderamente útiles y logren tener
un mejor desarrollo personal
integrándose en la sociedad.
La Fundación cuenta con un equipo
de voluntarios y colaboradores que
están dispuestos y comprometidos a
brindar una excelente atención a
estas personas que tanto lo requieren,
por supuesto brindando los mejores
cuidados y teniendo la mayor
paciencia para ellos.
Se recibieron importantes
donaciones por parte de la alcaldía
de Boquete como lo fueron diez
colchonetas, además otras donaciones
recibidas fueron veinticinco sillas de
ruedas, además de bastones,
andaderas y muletas para una mejor
atención.
En el acto de inauguración,
estuvieron presentes distinguidas
personalidades de nuestro país y por
que no decirlo de nuestra provincia,
entre ellos estuvieron el Señor Thomas
Ford ex presidente de la Fundación
capitulo de Panamá, el señor Julio
Linares actual Presidente de la
Fundación en panamá, Damas
Rosadas del distrito, miembros de la
Alcaldía de Boquete, el ex Alcalde del
distrito el señor Omar Buchaim, que
gracias a sus gestiones se logró
adquirir el lote de terreno donde se
construyó dicha obra, entre otras
personas importantes.

see the Caldera River and almost to

learned, is trained to a gait called
pasitrote (or paso trot) which he
prefers to a canter. Mercedes made
good speed with this gait, though
Lazy Boy enjoyed a slight advantage
with his canter. After a brief sojourn
during which we learned about the
history of this farmland and his family’s
several generation connection to it,
Franklin led us through another
paddock and further on up the
mountain.

streams, at each of which our canine
compañeros frolicked in ritual baths.
Near the top, we again had the
chance to open up and run a bit, after
which the horses “gave us the
opportunity to rest” while they
feasted on the lush green grass which
covers the mountain.
Franklin pointed out that we were
now IN the Caldera, a big bowl or
cauldron surrounded on all sides by
mountains. We could see Boquete,
Volcan Baru of course, the old
hydroelectric route to Bocas del Toro,
and all the way to the Pacific past
David. We were even graced with an
arco iris in the distance.
While we rested, Franklin showed us
some of the local flora and fauna as
well as the internet tower which is
under construction on his property, the
only concession to development he
and his family have been willing to
make. He explained his philosophy that
the countryside should be kept as
unspoiled as possible and that teaching
enjoyment of the natural beauty of
Panama and continuation of the family
farming enterprise are much more
important to him than any other use of
his property. As an aspiring artist and
writer, this fit with what we already
knew about him from others. The way
he treats his horses, dogs, family and
guests also reflects this sensitivity and
gentleness of spirit.
After more than three hours, we
made a few phone calls (to explain
our lateness!) and reluctantly began
the slow climb down, the more
treacherous for the horses because of
their difficulty in seeing the trail while
descending. More than once we all
ended up on different paths and did
a little cross-country to catch up to
one another again.
At the last stream, Mercedes balked
at wading across and instead jumped,
giving me a rare treat for which
fortunately I was prepared because
Franklin warned that this was his
preference. Then it was back across
the mudflats and to the hitching
posts.

was exactly tailored to our needs and
preferences, was utterly reasonable.

usually accessible, as reflected in the

humano que ofrece cada habitante.
Bajo grandes expectativas y con la
certeza de que cada vez será mejor, este
año la actividad ferial promete eventos
para el disfrute de grandes y chicos.

a Fundación Pro-Impedidos
capitulo de Panamá fue creada
en el año de 1983 mediante
aportes de la Teleton 20-30 y cuyo

Locomotor y las Facultades Auditivas,

programas brinda anualmente
atención directa a un promedio de
2,000 personas.
Antes se le conocía como Fundación
Pro-Impedidos, pero a partir del año
2005 cambia su nombre a Fundación
Pro-Integración.
En ese entonces, el Presidente de la
fundación el señor Thomas Ford,
señala que esta es una fundación que
atiende y ayuda a personas de escasos
recursos y promueve el financiamiento
de las operaciones de algunas
personas con problemas ya sean
cardiovasculares o cualquier otro tipo
además de que en esta versión se
efectuará el desarrollo de la Exposición
Pecuaria del Istmo Centroamericano
(EXPICA), que por segunda vez se
centra en esta importante región de
alcance agrícola.

registrado un importante avance en

el mejoramiento de algunas
infraestructuras que buscan dar el
