We are the only cement composite manufacturer in the world who regularly launches new facade systems and products, in a continuing effort to meet the architects evolving wishes. We maintain close contact with architects to listen to their concerns and develop top quality products to their specifications. All products are fully tested with long term weathering tests before they are brought to the marketplace. These quality products help the designer to bridge the gap from conceptualization to realization and to better satisfy his customers needs and design desires. For each of these surface aspects, the high quality coating on a pure acrylic base assures high resistance to weather conditions and ultraviolet rays.

100 % environmentally friendly

The large-size cement composite panels are mainly made of mineral raw materials (Portland cement and lime stone), water and air. Since more than 20 years high quality non-toxic fibers have been used to reinforce the cement core. The manufacturing process based on a closed water cycle and a slow natural 28 days curing requires little energy. The Swiss high tech coloration and finishing technologies are water born whilst ensuring an optimal behavior and long lasting quality of the panel along with excellent color stability. Therefore, neither the raw materials nor the production process nor the finished products contain any dangerous substances. The authorized Distributors have a computer program which reckons the lowest panel requirements according to the architects project specific panel sizes. Once they were easily installed, the SWISSPEARL systems optimized for the ventilated, insulated rain-screen application provide the key to energy conserving solutions both for winter and summer; they are practically maintenance free during their whole lifespan of at least 40 years. And finally, the ultimate dismantling of the panel system is as straight forward as its initial installation. The process to fully recycle the products in cement plants has been successfully tested in Switzerland. The grey energy used per m 2 faade of the complete product cycle is only 125 MJ.

SWISSPEARL REFLEX is a usually also colored through panel core with an iridescent surface. Changing lighting and angle of vision produce fascinating nuances in the colors. SWISSPEARL has an unmatched competence and know-how regarding special colors. In the past 15 years, more than 2000 customized colors were supplied according to architects specification. SWISSPEARL NATURA launched as world wide innovation already in 1987 bears a translucent coating. The smooth and semi-matt surface finish and the visible natural texture of the cement composite impart an unrivalled expressiveness to the material. SWISSPEARL XPRESSIV is a cement Grey panel with a very vivid cement composite structure. SWISSPEARL TECTURA has an opaque coating. SWISSPEARL faade panels

SWISSPEARL faade panels are large size cement composite sheets, available in various distinctive finishes. After trimming all four sides the sheets may then be cut to any desired sizes. SWISSPEARL faade panels can be installed in one plane with horizontal and vertical joints or, alternatively, in strips lapped horizontally. The detailing of joints and fixations, as well as a virtually unlimited choice of panel sizes allow for endless possibilities in creating uniquely attractive faades. SWISSPEARL faade panels are installed following the ultimate technology of uninterrupted rear ventilation. This fully developed and proven cladding system effectively protects the building structure and with it the whole building from the elements for decades. The panels are rot-resistant, incombustible, extremely durable and virtually maintenance free in all aspects an extremely advantageous and attractive solution. Competence, Excellence and Innovation For more than 20 years the Swiss Research & Development teams have continuously expanded their unique expertise regarding core, coloration and application of high-end cement composite facade systems. These huge technological advances are the backbone of the Swiss quality. SWISSPEARL panels are produced in very modern state of the art facilities in Niederurnen (Switzerland) operated with low energy and high environment consciousness. They are manufactured from high quality Portland cement, synthetic fibers, cellulose materials and stable pigments. The proprietary processes pioneered by Switzerland with special surface finish, sealed edges and back coating ensure optimal behavior and durability of the fully compressed panels. Millions of panels installed since 1985 throughout the world prove the outstanding, reliable long term quality of the Swiss cement core and coating. Eternit Switzerland is the only manufacturer which masters the highly demanding production processes for integrally colored cement composite panels offered in such a wide color variety yet ensuring high production hygiene and very low environmental impact.

SWISSPEARL faade system SIGMA 12

Large size faade panels SWISSPEARL , installed with secret fixing, are designed for applications with the highest standards regarding sophisticated presentation. The faade system SIGMA 12 offers a wide scope for individual expression. The faade panels SWISSPEARL , 12 mm / 15 / 32 thick, are available in the aesthetically unique color ranges CARAT SL and REFLEX, up to a maximum effective panel size of 3048 x 1220 mm / 10- 0 x 4-0 to suit any job-specific requirements. An integral component of the secret fixing system is an undercut anchor with which the cleats of the under construction are attached to the back of the faade panels. The SWISSPEARL faade panels are supplied ex factory accurately and cleanly cut to size, with predrilled dovetail shaped holes, all executed under strict quality control. The system includes the undercut anchor and suitable screws with washers, the cleats to fix directly to the back of the panels as well as the horizontal aluminum hanging rail. The vertical supporting metal sub frame is to be carried out by others.

Integrally colored panel with either translucent or pigmented top layer, CARAT SL plays the lead role. The unique natural look and the timeless beauty of the monolithic material with its delicate vein texture provide an exciting and noble expression to buildings with special character. Initially focused on the needs of North European architects expressed in SWISSPEARL surveys, the color range has been widened these two past years to also meet the designers wishes in the rest of the world for more vibrant tones. Now available in a wide spectrum of complementary shades, CARAT SL is just the top of the line facade solution to create contrasts and spectacular effects or to blend harmoniously into the surrounding settings. To highlight the ultimate product and color range, some of the CARAT shades marketed since 1998 have now been re-named.

SWISSPEARL REFLEX
Mostly integrally colored, these high tech panels bear an iridescent surface finishing on pure acrylic base. Changing lighting and angle of vision produce fascinating nuances in the colors. These directional panels come in 12 shades; they are particularly suited for contemporary buildings of any size and scope with a very modern architecture.

Wide range of complementary color matched fasteners and accessories. Panels colored on both sides for balconies, slotted internal partitions, etc. The former product generations developed in the eighties (surface coated panels on a grey core) are still available for building extensions or particular needs. Not affected by coastal environment and normal atmospheric pollutants. Sun, rain (even acid rain), humidity and frost have nearly no influence on surface aspect. Excellent long term color fastness and consistency: depending on shades, Delta E-values range between 1 and 3 on the CIELAB scale after 2000 hours of exposure (Xenon Arc Light acc. Weathering Test). Ensures a natural and homogeneous ageing of the whole surface of the panel / faade. Temperature resistance guaranteed up to +80C and down to -40C (176F to 40F). Fire rating: A2-s1, d0 according to EN Standard 135011/ UBC Class I, NFPA Class A according to ASTM E 84 99. Mostly factory fabricated for consistent high cutting / drilling / sealing quality.
