Principia Astrologia. Principia Astrologia. (Astrological Research A preamble.) (Dedicated to my father, Srirangachar Acharla, an engineer and Astrologer.

.) By Hayagreeva Acharla. Part 1 - Preface Ancient Babylonians were watching the phases of Venus, which became possible for modern astronomy only after invention of telescope in theXVII century. Not less admiration is provoked by the Mayan Calendar though it has almost nothing in common with Solar and Lunar cycles which make the basis of the most calendars, the Ancient Maya knew the duration of the average Solar year with several digits after the decimal point, their concept of counting the days is now accepted in astronomy (Julian days), and their Calendar for Venus was accurate to within two hours per 500 years! That is why we may suggest this calendar to hide some more secrets of Time. [ISBN 966-7309-53-3] - Smelyakov S.V., Karpenko u. B., 1999 Almost every culture that we know of had some form of astrology; and this is not attributable to their lack of modern enlightenment but rather to their immediate sense of unity with the cosmic environment. More than anything else, the popular pseudo-scientific prejudices and adherence to out-dated scientific theories among working scientists, educators, and the general public stand in the way of a new synthesis of knowledge and a new hope for mans future. [Toni Gilbert, RN, MA, HNC in The Psychology of Astrology - Part II] Scientific method refers to a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge. To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning, a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses. Scientific researchers propose hypotheses as explanations of phenomena, and design experimental studies to test these hypotheses via predictions which can be derived from them. These steps must be repeatable, to guard against mistake or confusion in any particular experimenter. Theories that encompass wider domains of inquiry may bind many independently derived hypotheses together in a coherent, supportive structure. Theories, in turn, may help form new hypotheses or place groups of hypotheses into context. Four essential elements of a scientific method are iterations, recursions, interleaving, or orderings of

the following: Characterizations (observations, definitions, and measurements in the subject of inquiry) Hypotheses (theoretical, hypothetical explanations of observations and measurements of the subject) Predictions (reasoning including logical deduction from the hypothesis or theory) Experiments (tests of all of the above) A central principle of astrology is integration within the cosmos. The individual, Earth, and its environment are viewed as a single organism, all parts of which are correlated with each other. Cycles of change that are observed in the heavens are therefore reflective (not causative) of similar cycles of change observed on earth and within the individual. Accordingly, the Natal horoscope depicts a stylized map of the universe at the time of birth, specifically focused on the individual at its centre, with the positions of Sun, Moon, and celestial bodies considered to be that individuals personal planets or stars which postulates symmetry between the individual as a microcosm and the celestial environment as a macrocosm. The empirical method is the one method of searching for order in apparently random events, solely guided by the significance of their occurrence and the tensors or stressors (Causative factors kaaraka) in those co-relational transactions. In astrology these aspects are searched for in the Cyclical Orders existing in Nature so that the repetitiveness in those Orders facilitates establishing verifiability as in the empirical method adopted for deductions. So, the empirical method is necessary in entering hitherto completely unexplored fields and becomes less purely empirical as the acquired mastery of the field increases. Successful use of an exclusively empirical method demands a higher degree of intuitive ability in the practitioner. The intuitive ability of an Astrology practitioner can be enhanced by sharpening his Mind, approaching consciously the sub-conscience by hypnotic techniques and leaving there a command or suggestion. Meditation in Yoga practice helps achieving it. Further, the application of the rules, as of laws in science, is based on the principle of analogy in its general astrological form as for as Events part is concerned. Besides, this approach possesses the basic properties of a scientific theory which includes axioms (viz. basic assumptions in the hypothesis), which sets up correspondence between the astronomical and psychological and/or eventual concepts and the rules of drawing the conclusions which use formal logic. The Calculus of Transactions for obtaining conclusions from the axioms allows us to verify the conclusions taking account of the nature of the considered objects. It is obvious however, that due to their irreproducible nature in the forward time flow these conclusions, as in medicine or economy dealing with different reaction of the objects being the same just in average might be true (and thus, verified) with a definite probability only. Nevertheless, in the sense of mathematical statistics, this verifiability is relevant to the physical reproducibility of the experiment for the case when the initial conditions could not be reproduced exactly, or the experiment itself cannot be repeated after the causative Event. For this, we firstly define the required concepts qualitatively and then, show how they may be treated quantitatively for establishing a synchronism or resonance between the physical, social and other types of processes with the use of threshold values being defined with respect to the time parameters or errors pertaining to these processes. At this, we assume that an event is specified by its culmination point being defined with respect to its essence. It is obvious that in general, we cannot obtain a result to be more exact than the accuracy of the source data that allows us. To this end, the effectiveness of the error analysis consists in relative simplicity of setting the correspondence between the accuracy of the source data and he result. To my question as to the time period of sapiens evolution one answer I got is There is no time scale. Evolution doesn't work like that. Organisms continuously evolve to adapt to changes in the environment. If the environment is stable, a species can remain unchanged indefinitely. When there are sudden changes, like climate or a competing organism, then natural selection appears to work very quickly and the organism either adopts evolves or dies out. We do not know if non-homos evolved to be sapient, but there is no indication in the record that any did. As for us, there were lots of dead ends and branches of the human tree that did not make it; could not cope with change and disappeared. Still, it can be safely averred that The process of Evolution in Nature has produced such results that one will be at loss to comprehend them as the creations of a non sapient entity which forces oneself to anthropomorphize Nature for the sake of understanding results by empirical methodology. Examples of seemingly sapient like behavior are decisions that one mouth is sufficient but two eyes and two ears are necessary to comprehend the surrounding environment for any animal to survive for long and, there is a necessity of putting nutritious milk in mothers breasts

for a baby to suckle after its delivery as the umbilical chord, through which it was fed till then, will be cut on delivery, et al. If left to Chance, Evolution of such organization out of infinitely large possibilities with infinitely large resources available in Nature, the Time Period for such evolution will be infinite which not the case is. In-fact, Archaic Homo sapiens evolved between 400,000 and 250,000 years ago only. This would not have been possible without algebraic inter-play of conditioning Tensors (pushes and pulls) in vogue. . The word nature comes from the Latin word, natura, meaning birth of a character; nature, in the broadest sense, is equivalent to the natural world, physical world, or material world. "Nature" refers to the phenomena of the physical world and also to life in general. Astrology is a blend of Astronomy and Psychology. Where as Astronomy is developed into an exact science Psychology is still developing as an exact science as some elements have remained subjective because, for taking a holistic view large amount of complex observational data is required to be considered of which some we may miss, in formulating even a basis for a hypothesis and hence Astrology is a science as far as Astronomical aspects are concerned and a skill as far as Psychological aspects are concerned. With the availability of more and more technological tools (computers at present are more of manipulators and calculators) for comprehending very large data Astrology may become less and less empirical. Astrology may have been one of the earliest forms of psychology as it strives to understand why humans behave the way they do. Swiss psychiatrist and Freud disciple Carl Gustav Jung was very much interested in both psychology and astrology and sought to combine the two with his theories. It was Jung perhaps more than any other psychiatrist that helped bridge the gap between astrology and psychology. Jung himself had paranormal experiences as a child, so to look towards astrology to help unlock one's psyche seemed a natural progression. Astrology, in its psychological part, shall have to deal with two main aspects namely 1) Psychology of places Like Aries (mESha), Taurus (vRuShabha), et al, and 2) Psychology of personalities like Sun, Moon et al. In his book The Astrology of Personality (1936) Dane Rudyar, called astrology an algebra of life that is, a way of understanding the order inherent in all life, individual and collective. Dr. Eugene Jonas of Czechoslovakia provided an idea of a Birth Quickening Theory Jonas discovered that at the time of birth, the baby is at the peak of his metabolic cycle and actually causes its own birth by releasing adrenalin into the mothers bloodstream. Jonas experiments indicated that this peak always occurs at the same sun-moon angle for the individual. The most logical explanation is that the embryo has an inherent personality and that the time of birth is then precipitated by the planetary alignments that most strongly influence the baby. Therefore the birth chart shows the planetary alignments to which one is the most sensitive (p. 30). The sun, being Life Energy giver and the Causative factor of an order can be likened to a father and Earth alias Moon, companion in the Earth-Moon system representing harmonics of a personality and being maintainer and protector of life can be likened to a mother. So the sun position in fathers birth chart, moon position in mothers birth chart and time & place of childs birth are vital parameters for drawing the childs Nativity chart which will remain constant, as the childs genetic factors are, through out its life. This will decide the Personality of the child. The birth chart (janma kunDali) of the child indicates conditions of the child personality at that time.
