I consider it the second most important Sunday of our church year. Of course Easter is first, but what we do on December 4 will affect all we do in 2012. Have I raised your curiosity? On that Sunday, I am asking you to renew your commitment as a disciple of Christ. Why a renewal? I have found that an annual renewal is like a fresh start. It is a chance to reaffirm that Christ is #1 in our life. All those who have failed can begin again. That is good for everyone. These four commitments are not something I just made up. They are based on statements made by Jesus that define a disciple. If Christ controls these areas, you will remain faithful. You can find these commitments below. Brother Billy Dickey and I will be in Guatemala with eighteen others the week of Thanksgiving. This will be the sixth team we have sent to Guatemala. It is always a hard but rewarding ministry. Pray for us as we share the gospel.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Thank you, Eastmont, for providing approximately 500 shoe boxes for this wonderful ministry! Singles Potluck Luncheon All single adults are invited to a potluck lunch immediately following the 10:30 worship service this Sunday (November 20) in the Fellowship Hall. Guatemala Breakfast Fundraiser Thank you so much for helping make our fundraiser successful! Your donations totaled about $1,270. Mark Your Calendar for Sunday, December 4, as we begin International Missions Emphasis week. Meet in the Fellowship hall at 5:00 p.m. to hear from this years Guatemala Mission team. Pizza & salad will be served. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Challenge Goal - $30,000 Victory Goal - $33,000 Hallelujah Goal - $36,000 Recycling for Missions We are collecting empty inkjet cartridges (no laser or toner cartridges) and used cell phones (no accessories). Place these items in the ministry baskets located around the church. All proceeds go toward Eastmont Mission Trips. Thank you for recycling for missions.

Community Groups Over the Christmas break we will have Community Groups (small groups) at the Mohajerins house on December 20th, 22nd, 27th, and 29th. Passion 2012 - January 2-5, 2012 Ages 18-25 welcome! Two or three tickets are available for high school seniors as well. Cost is $250 ($100 to sign up).
