The Master Falconer, The Yarnsmith and The Master Builder
The Master Falconer ~ A fabulous display of hawks and owls plus superb flight demonstrations, weather permitting. For a small charge The Master Falconer will allow you to hold one of these majestic creatures. The Yarnsmith of Norwich ~ with his ancient tales, friendly smile and warm sheepskin rugs, the Yarnsmiths Tent is a magical place to spend some time. The Master Builder will be on hand to train apprentices in the construction of a range of small-scale medieval buildings, from the simple to the more challenging. Session times are 10.30am-11.30am, Noon-1pm, 1.30pm-3pm on Sat & Sun, 6pm-8.30pm Sat. Please note: All ages are welcome at these sessions. However, young children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

NEW In the Inner Bailey for 2011 The Demonstrations & Have-a-Go Tent
Commencing at 10.30 each day, a series of half hour talks, demos and have-a go sessions next to The Master Builder. Discover all about bow-making, fletching arrows, rush lights, jerkmeat, firelighting with flint & steel, learn to juggle a 3 ball cascade, try Wassailing, dancing and singing carols in harmony. The Players The Plantagenet Society ~ wild, chivalrous knights and courtly ladies Kris Katchit, stilt-walking, knife-juggling, fire-breathing jester ~ Mistress Love, lady of dance Hand to Mouth Theatres Piggery Jokery, a wonderful puppet show for all ages BZ Ents, join Robin Hood in this have-a-go theatre show ~ Brother Sid, a gentle giant monk wynndebagge musical fooling ~ Revellion a colourful band of minstrels Hautbois a popular duo of medieval musicians ~ Piva a band specialising in medieval sounds The Stanchester Quire ~ Folk South Wests Community Quire singing regional and well-known carols The Master Builder, on the level and promises to stay until the jobs done The Yarnsmith of Norwich, a top tale teller ~ The Master Falconer, owls, hawks & a feather in his cap The Men from Off ~ roving wassailers, singing good health and good luck to us all (Sat only) Please note ~ Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre reserves the right to change the programme at any time.
