School Environment Evaluation School Name: Great University November 14, 2011 Demographics: The Great University is a micro

unit with fourteen (14) employees at the Trustworthiness University. The demographics are eighty percent (86%) female and fourteen percent (14 %) male and all staff use e-mail, and it is an integral part of the school learning and support communications. Seventy-nine percent (79%) are White, fourteen percent (14%) are Hispanic, and seven percent (7%) Asian employees. All staff has high levels of satisfaction for Internet and communication of technology. As you can see, while the majority is female, the director of the Great University is male and Hispanic as well as savvy in technology. They are part of the digital inclusion because e-mail, chat, and text messaging are integral parts of the school learning and support communications. Administrative Policy: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff are aware of the administrative policy through formalized the technology use. (resource/infrastructure): The policy has been approved by the micro unit members in compliance with the Trustworthiness University technology use policy. Administrative Planning: Intelligent (behavioral): Within the micro unit, formal evaluation and comprehensive planning takes place in collaboration with the other unit. Administrative Budget: Intelligent (behavioral): The Great University has long-term budgeting for the micro unit upgrades and they revisit annually. (resource/infrastructure): Resources are used heavily and without access to electronic information, all staff work may be limited. Curricular Integration: Emergent (behavioral): The three computers in the Great University micro unit are not updated due to slow process of getting new ones. (resource/infrastructure): Resources are scarce because only three computers are available with limited to materials like adobe readers. Student Use: Intelligent (behavioral): Students frequently need access to technology; without it, all students cannot meet students the learning outcome. (resource/infrastructure): All students have regular access to technologies. Support Administrative: Intelligent (behavioral): The Great University is very supportive of all staff use technology. (resource/infrastructure): The director of Great University is very supportive of any technology issues may occur. Support Training: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff are very adaptive of new technology. They are always readily available for refresher training. (resource/infrastructure): E-mail, chat, text message is available to all staff. Support Technical/Infrastructure: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff are very adaptive of new technology.

Connectivity Internet Access: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff and students use the Internet for video, voice and sophisticated data needs. They are very adaptive of new technology. (resource/infrastructure): Wifi access to all locations. Connectivity Communication Systems: Intelligent (behavioral): E-mail is an integral part of the school learning and support communications. All staff are very reliant on e-mail for all communication. (resource/infrastructure): E-mail, chat, and text message is available to all staff and students. Innovation New Technologies: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff has systematic adaptation of new technologies throughout the micro unit and school. All staff use new technologies daily to be comfortable with the new technologies. (resource/infrastructure): All staff has systematic adaptation of new technologies throughout the micro unit and school. Innovation Comprehensive New Technologies: Intelligent (behavioral): All staff are readily are willing and available to learn all kinds of technology including podcasts, skype, etc. (resource/infrastructure): All staff has access to technology for incorporating podcasts, skype, etc. into regular practice. Summary Overall, the maturity rating of Great University is on an intelligent level because our service is to provide on inclusive space for students. Curriculum integration score is very low in this

micro unit because they only provide three computers for public use and resources are limited. The administrative budget rating is on an intelligent level. However, the Great University is connected through communication and cohesiveness is more centered on employees productivity. This micro unit is not a learning lab or student resource technology centered because as previously stated the Great University provides cultural competency including oppression and social justice.
