SHORT ESSAY #1

What are your career goals? How will leadership training help to prepare you to meet these goals?

Everybody is looking for success, both professional and personnal ones, and the key to success is work, to achieve all goals we have to work hard. In ESI, we have study in a way that make us able to learn all by our selves but there are things that you can't learn at school, things like leadership, managing a project ... The information system field is management oriented: that means that we have some knowledge about the finance process and economics but not extended ones wich means that if you wanna have an extended knowledge in that field, you'll have to continue your studies and be more specialised ,If we put this added training aside, all we learn is theorical and the best way to learn is to practice, and to do so and develop the entreprenership and leadership potentiel students have 3 major ways:they can choose the associations as AIESEC that offers a leadership expereince but not in a specific field : they will learn how to deal with a small project, how to make it bigger, how to make it work; they can also take part-time jobs, in that case they will be able to work with people who takes decisions and they will work on real projects but they will not be the ones taking responsabilities or they can choose the programs as SUSI, MEPI or exchange ones and in that case they will develop their leadership skills and put their theories into practice and that's the best way to learn, such a leadership program during summer will benefit more than any part-time job or any leadership role in a student organisation.
SHORT ESSAY #2

Identify one political, social, or economic challenge facing your country today. What steps could be taken to solve the problem or improve the situation? What role can students play in this process? Algeria, with its population of nearly 36 million, its energy wealth, and growing demand for modern infrastructure and consumer products, has begun attracting interest from companies around the world. Despite the international financial crisis, U.Sand europian firms continue to consider Algeria as an emerging export market that is expected to grow in 2011/2012 However, the climate for these firms considering direct investments in Algeria has worsened, particularly in the wake of a series of restrictive foreign investment rules enacted in 2009 and 2010. Algeria's inability to move forward with WTO accession or modernize its banking sector has prevented significant foreign investment outside the energy sector.wherefore effective solutions are highly recommanded in order to regain foreign investors confidence such as relaxing state control of the economy which is the main reason for such restrictive investment and also resetting the hard currency outflow contrle so that positive hard currency balance is maintained by foreign investors which would aloud algeria to gain more profits and as we all know ,Only a strong industrial base could make Algeria an equal partner with other economiccal powers so students intgration as an economical and entrepreneuring tool is critical in each and every economical field.
