Improved Gravity Drainage Low density nitrogen can enhance the gravity drainage of a steeply dipping reservoir. In deep reservoirs, gravity stable miscible displacement could be achieved with nitrogen.
Miscible Displacement Whether your reservoir is miscible with N2 or CO2, nitrogen can be used to drive an oil bank toward a producing well. Since lower cost nitrogen replaces some or all of the CO2, costs per barrel of oil are improved.
Gas Cap Displacement By substituting nitrogen for natural gas in the pressure maintenance of a condensate field, residue gas is recovered, separated and sold at todays prices.
Gas Cycling By injecting nitrogen to displace gas cap gas, saleable natural gas is recovered and reservoir pressure is maintained. This allows producers to gain todays attractive price for natural gas, without waiting for oil depletion.
