CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION

Background of Study

The Influence of computers are widely universal. From a little span of time, the appreciation of computer has been the newest trend in the technological industry, it many uses grow out of this characteristics like a producing a fast and accurate information, which is widely used in decision making process from the most simplest processes to the most complex one.

With this development of computers, time and effort has been minimized, it can perform a bulk of workload easier and as of now its development of continuously grow and it becomes the focus of the most business establishment and in any field of science, and for us to achieve all its advantages we should overcome the demand to be a computer literate.

The Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware have always played an important role in alleviating and solving pressing social problems. The role of this Cooperative is perceived to help replace the function of the state. They have

always, and still do helped to improve the living and working conditions of people and provided them with social services, have made production and consumption credit available to producers and agriculturists. They are also expected to generate employment opportunities, particularly in rural areas, and to provide an effective base for various disadvantaged groups so that they might organize themselves for social and economic benefit. This Cooperatives is one of the economic pillars of the people. It was organized to served their members by providing them the needs and services, most especially in giving out Bills to their members by integrating themselves into the life of community. We the researchers observed that there a need to convert the manual system of the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware into computerized one.

Statement of the Problem

1. What is the problem about the manual system of the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware? 2. Is the Computerized System more beneficial than the manual system that is currently used by the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware.

Objectives of the Study

1. To evaluate the present system of the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative AgriHardware interms of documents, operations and procedures being processed. 2. To determine the possible areas for improvement for the existing system. 3. To give the exact result of the system. 4. To developed and implement the Proposed System.

Significance of the Study

We, the researchers hope that the study would greatly benefit the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware particularly the Biiling and

Inventory section. The proposed system would eventually reduced the workload of the personal involved, likewise produced satisfactory output.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

This study was serve the present system of the Claveria Farmers Multi- Purpose Cooperative Agr-Hardware.

It covers the area within the limit of existing human resources of the agency and other resources such as calculator, typewriter and prepared forms.

CHAPTER 2 THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

Review of Related Literature

Cooperatives are organized to serve their members by providing needs and services at reasonable cost. They work for the welfare of their members by integrating themselves into the life of community in particular and in the nation general. This cooperatives enhance the peoples welfare through increased productivity, both the members and the communities where they are located. By the very nature of their concerns, cooperatives strengthen the economic, social, cultural and ecological base of the communities where they are operate. Likewise, they are not merely economic instruments concerns with dividends and related economic and financial returns. They are the mechanism of change for total human development. As what Fauquet quoted To make people-people with sense of both individual and joint responsibility-so that they may rise individually to a full personal life and collectively to a full social life, is the goal of cooperatives. Moreover, are member-owned, member-controlled, and member used. Ownership is very important factor in the success of any cooperative. They are actually engaged in a business with social responsibility. They play meaningful economic role

in the community life by serving and performing as efficiently and responsively as the other financial and business enterprises. They are basically two forms of cooperation, although may different types of cooperatives are used to achieve the objectives set by their members; socio economic cooperation and business cooperation and both have the potential to serve the cause of sustainable development. Cooperatives provides a unique tool for achieving economic goals in an increasingly competitive global economy. These goals may include achieving economy of size; increasing bargaining power; sharing case of new technology, adding to agricultural products; gaining access to new markets; reducing risks associated with new enterprises; obtaining new services; purchasing in bulk to achieve lower prices; and securing credit from financial institution. Cooperative have significantly contributed to economic growth throughout the world.

Definition of Terms

Record- an accounting something, preserved in an testing form. Computerized- to process or store data with or in an computer or computer system. System- a group of elements that interact and function together as a whole. Development- to make more available or effective. Application Form-is the form to be accomplish by the person who wishes to avail accounts. This form contains question relevant for granting of accounts and filledup by the member. Account- are the amount a person owes. Interest- is consideration in a form of money and for the use money. Management-is the conduct of supervising something, or judicious use of means to accomplish a task.

CHAPTER 3 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design

We the researchers made used of the descriptive type of research through observation, interview, and documentary analysis. The basic procedures or methods of the existing system with regards to the Point of Sale System of the Claveria Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware, Claveria Cagayan, were observed and the weakness were analyzed.

Locale of the Study

We the researchers conducted the study in the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware, Claveria, Cagayan. The office is located at the Claveria Farmers Building. It is Headed by the department Head, Mr. Rogelio

Labuguen(Manager).

Research Instruments

We the researchers used the following methods to collect the information and data needed.

Interview: We interviewed the Head of the Claveria Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agri-Hardware of Claveria on how they keep records using the manual system. We are able to gain enough information on the manual operation.

Observation: When we conducted the interview, we observe that the manual operation is very slow specially in retrieving or searching records. The personnel incharge of the office uses logbook in listing, and collecting the information of members.

Documentary Analysis: We the researchers analyzed the documents forms which are being used by the personnel-in-charge of record keeping.
