- Support for the EX-USB-PCM option When the EX-USB-PCM option is used, the M3 Editor will synchronize to the M3, and use the same multisamples from the EX-USB-PCM as was added to the M3 itself. - Obtain RAM bank multisample names You can obtain the multisample names of the RAM bank from the M3 in the same way as for the multisamples that were added by the EX-USB-PCM. - MIDI input support for the stand-alone version When using the stand-alone version, you can now make MIDI input settings. You'll be able to play the M3 by using the specified MIDI device to input note messages to M3 Editor. - FireWire audio latency setting has been added A parameter has been added to Global mode Software Setup, allowing you to specify the latency of FireWire audio. Functionality that indicates the actual latency value has also been added. You can specify this value in your DAW as the latency compensation for the track to which you've assigned M3 Plug-In Editor. Additions and changes from v1.5.1 to v1.5.2 - Additional programs New programs (512 programs) are added to the preload data (U-A to U-D). Additions and changes from v1.5.0 to v1.5.1 - Vocoder programs Vocoder programs (32 programs) are added to the preload data (I-E). Additions and changes from v1.0.1 to v1.5.0 - Support for the EXB-FW option The audio functionality will be available when you use a FireWire cable to connect your computer to an M3 in which the EXB-FW is installed. Since MIDI data is also sent and received via the FireWire connection, all youll need is a single FireWire cable. The M3s two-channel audio input and six-channel audio output (L/R, Individual 1/2/3/4) will all be available for use. (The number of supported channels will depend on your host application.) - Plug-In Fx is now provided In addition to the M3 Plug-In Editor which functions as a plug-in synthesizer, the M3 Plug-In Fx which lets the M3 function as an effect within your DAW is now provided. This allows the M3 to be used as an insertion effect inside your DAW. - Improvements to MIDI port search at start-up The first time you start up M3 Editor, the program will search for the M3 at all MIDI ports. However, this result will be remembered for the second and subsequent start-ups, and that MIDI port will be connected automatically, shortening the start-up time. If both USB-MIDI and FireWire MIDI cables are connected to the M3, youll be able to select the MIDI port to use. If you save this setting, it will be used at the next start-up. - Change in the operation of SEQ mode In SEQ mode when you play or record a song using the M3s internal sequencer, the indication in M3 Editor will change to SEQ Running. Operations in M3 Editor will be blocked during this time. In this state, it will no longer be possible to press the [BROWSER], [UTILITY], or [MODE] switches so you wont be able to move to another mode. However, you will be able to edit parameters. When you stop the M3s internal sequencer, this state will be cancelled; the M3 Editor indication will return to its previous state, and you will be able to operate it. Changes and revisions in v1.0.1 - Various other minor bugs, display anomalies and functions have also been xed and/or improved.
Notes
- Plug-In Fx can be used only with an M3 in which the EXB-FW is installed. - You cannot use Plug-In Editor and Plug-In Fx simultaneously in your DAW. Also, since fxb/fxp files created by Plug-In Editor are not compatible with fxb/fxp files created by Plug-In Fx, they cannot be used interchangeably. (They are handled as different plug-ins within the DAW.) - The Ignore Program Change messages to reduce the CPU load in SEQ Mode option found in Software Setup of Global mode affects only program changes that are channel messages. This setting does not affect program changes that are conveyed as exclusive messages. - The M3 Editor/Plug-In Editor doesn't notice the modifications of some operations using the M3 hardware. Please execute Receive All from the UTILITY menu of the M3 Editor/Plug-In Editor to load the whole data from the M3 after these operations. - Load a data file in the MEDIA mode

Known problems
- Logic Pro 7/8 [Mac with Intel processors / Mac with Power PC processors]If ALL is enabled in the total recall settings (Global mode Software Setup), a memory error message will be displayed and M3 Editor will malfunction.Disable ALL, and enable only the minimum data that you need to synchronize. There are some guidelines. When using Logic Pro 7When Auto Load File is on, one COMBI or two PROGRAM When Auto Load File is off, two COMBI or four PROGRAM When using Logic Pro 8 Use with only the COMBI bank or only the PROGRAM bank - Pro Tools LE 7.3/7.4 [Mac with Intel processors / Mac with Power PC processors]In some cases, total recall fails to recover the data, and the data in the M3 itself is erased (initialized to InitData). This problem can occur if the total recall settings (Global mode Software Setup) differ between when you saved and when you loaded. If you've changed the total recall settings, close the session and start again with a new session le in order to minimize the possibility that this problem will occur. Even if this problem should make it appear as though the data in the M3 itself has been erased, the data in the M3's memory has not actually been overwritten. Disconnect the connection between the M3 and your PC, and then power the M3 itself off and on again to recover the original data. - Pro Tools LE 7.3.x/7.4 [only Mac with Intel processors]
When you use total recall to recall data on a Mac that has an Intel processor, the Pro Tools LE application may immediately exit unexpectedly. This occurs when "M3 KEYBOARD" is selected as the MIDI input in Pro Tools. To avoid this problem, choose the menu item Setup > MIDI > Input Devices, and make sure that the "M3 KEYBOARD" option box is cleared. Then load the session le (total recall). - Logic 8.0.1 [Mac with Intel processors / Mac with Power PC processors]Since key operations from the computer keyboard will function as Logic Pro keyboard shortcuts, this produces the problem that numerical values or text cannot be entered from the keyboard into M3 Plug-In Editor/Plug-In Fx. Please use mouse operations to edit parameters.
