Come

now, one and all, in Faith, let us celebrate the annual Memorial of the Fathers before the Law, Abraham and those with him. Let us honour as is right the Tribe of Judah, and let us extol the Servants in Babylon, the Trinitys Image, who extinguished the furnace fire, and also Daniel. As we unerringly cling to the predictions of the Prophets, together with Isaiah we cry out in a loud voice, Behold! The Virgin will conceive in the Womb, and She will bear a Son Emmanuel which means God is with us.

Blessed art Thou, O Virgin Theotokos: for through Him Who became Incarnate of Thee, Hell is led captive, Adam is recalled from the dead, the curse is made void, Eve is set free, Death is slain, and we have been endowed with Life. Wherefore we cry aloud, extolling in song: Blessed art Thou, O Christ our God, in Whose Sight it is thus wellpleasing. Glory to Thee!

Standing in the midst of unendurable flames, You called on God: Make hast, O Compassionate One, and hurry, O Merciful One, to our aid, FOR THOU CAN DO WHATEVER THOU WILLS. Extend Thy Hand, which of old the Egyptians, making battle, and the Hebrews, then embattled, had experienced. Do not forsake us, that Death thirsting after us and Satan who hates us may drink us down.
