Passion & Logics

Whats cooking in the italian kitchen?

It is all about passion. To conceive a dream you need a lot of it , to make the dream come true you need logics. Thank God Italians do not lack any passion; it is apparently in our genetic heritage, if anything we tendentially get to be dominated by it. When Fiocchi of America was conceived the family passion ruled and dictated that we were to make it happen at all costs in the North American continent. We started in a small warehouse in Springfield (MO), importing from Italy containers of finished goods, as a second step , we purchased some land in nearby Ozark and we started a shotshell loading department. We faced many challenges : we needed to adjust what was a typical European product to the American hunter and shooter tastes, we had to figure out what was the ideal solution to market the product, we had to set up production equipment to add to flexibility, train personnel and find capable and trusted collaborators. Today, with over a quarter of a century behind our backs, the passion is there more than ever and logics kicked in (and why not also some sheer luck) and with this cocktail we plan to move forward in the future. Passion goes toward Marketing endeavors, logic leans more towards Production investments : in the last five years we successfully managed to find the right mix. Fiocchi of America strongly pushed towards new products and new lines to better fulfill our customers demand; we opted, with our traditionally production oriented mentality, to enhance production in the USA, instead of outsourcing the product as many do. The effort was titanic for a Group of our size but it was successful and paid back. I wish in this brief opening address for the 2011 Fiocchi of America catalogue to thank wholeheartedly our mother Company in Italy that supported our efforts and together with us launched new procedures that will enable us to better and more efficiently manage future research and development projects and enhance the management of investments. It was a logical process that will enable our passion to better express itself in the years to come. Pietro Fiocchi, President and CEO

I have to say that my cousins are really patient with me. Coming from a technical back ground and being the masters of our production capacity they have to put up with the evils of the Sales and Marketing man. They strive for stability and method, I go for changes and ever new venues, and I know that the day I will retire they are going to throw a huge party! But unfortunately we need both realities; the ability to find a comfortable equilibrium is the key of the success and the s e c r e t t o a v o i d h e a r t a t t a c k s a n d u l c e r. Ye a r 2 0 1 1 m a r k s a r e t u r n t o n o r m a l i t y for the ammunition market that was the object of eighteen months of unprecedented demand. Fiocchi of America tried to put to profit this positive interlude and to find in our kitchen new recipes to offer to our customers. The development is going to go through the exploitation of new materials and new concepts , both for products and for the marketing side of them, and namely the packaging. Fiocchi of America will push further the development of new lead free hyper performance products aimed at our hunting and Law Enforcement markets ; the collaboration with our friends from Tundra TM has been a great success and the new products for our Centerfire Rifle and Pistol markets are going to be a testament to it. Many of them will be featured in our new LE Catalogue that is going to appear around midyear. We have developed with Cyalume a unique tracer round in 12 gauge , aimed at the clay target and hunting shooting market. This product is the first one in history that is non pyrotechnical by design ( no danger of fire in the field ), non toxic , ( EPA approved ) and biodegradable. The performance of this round , that packs 34 oz. of shots together with the chemitracer device is nothing short than phenomenal ! Fiocchi of America in a conjunct effort of our R & D departments in Italy and U.S.A. is adding new calibers for Rifle Centerfire range and new bullet configurations that will prove to be very popular; the same concept is applying to new Pistol Centerfire products that are on the drawing table as I write and that will see introduction on the market towards the end of 2011. On the packaging side we are proudly introducing two concepts , adopted from previous technologies pertaining to the military side , but perfecting them for the civilian market: Canned Ammo and sealable Buckets for shotshells. The Canned Heat ammo line will allow for safe and prolonged storage capacity, the shotshell buckets will allow the hunter to keep the product sheltered from the elements , and will definitively take care of the problem of damp or wet shotshell boxes on the field. Both packaging (if I may say so) are looking spectacular and will add excitement to every retail operation. The product offer in both packaging is not a substitution of the traditional box, but we are sure it is going to be very popular and we are planning to pack in this configuration more and more product during the next years. Last but not least Fiocchi of America would like to thank all of our customers that so much contributed to our success and have been an inexhaustible source of suggestions and ideas. Lets move forward together, it is going to be an exciting ride!

For at least the last three decades, waterfowl hunters in the United States have been forced to use non-toxic shotgun shells. The good old days of shooting lead shot for ducks and geese have been over for quite some time. Still, the search goes on for the ultimate replacement for the knockdown power and performance that was available with lead shot. Sure steel shot has improved drastically in the past decades, yet it required a Hunter reaction so far has been favorable, advised Mike. Sales initially exceeded more open choke and it lost velocity and energy quickly once fired. production, thus production has been increased at the Fiocchi plant in Ozark, Missouri. Although, demand is still high Fiocchi has met the sales quotas, so that Tundra is currently available from coast to coast. Obviously, the Tundra shotgun shells are not in the same Thus, many hunters continued to grumble to industry experts about the possibility of a price category as steel shot. Yet, when a hunter compares the various premium non-toxic new, better material for non-toxic shot pellets. Well, it seems that Fiocchi USA listened shotgun shells, i.e. bismuth, tungsten, etc Tundra shells are competitively priced. Still and put pen to paper so to speak. Quietly, they began to test numerous materials in when a hunter compares performance between the competition and Fiocchi Tundra, hopes of developing a metal that would contain the pros of lead shot without being toxic everything else falls by the wayside! Impress your hunting partners and your Lab, shoot to the environment. Several years were spent in research until finally they devised the key some Tundra this season! component, a tungsten composite material, that they aptly named Tundra. Once the material reached the prototype stage, the trials began. First, it had to be tested both in the field and in the lab. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service conducts extensive testing on all shot material to be used for waterfowl hunting and it is not a simple process. Fortunately, the new offering from Fiocchi passed the intensive evaluation with flying colors. In fact, the Tundra has one of the lowest concentrations among all non toxic shot materials, making it just about the greenest shot on the market. Additionally, Fiocchis Tundra nontoxic shotgun shells are paired with non-toxic primers, unlike many competitors. The benefits of Tundra are many. Obviously, it is an improvement over steel, but it comes as close to lead as any nontoxic material on the market. First and foremost, Tundra allows the hunter to utilize any choke constriction. By comparison, steel has warnings that advise hunters not to use full choke when shooting steel shot shells. Thus with Tundra, that old favorite, family heirloom shotgun with the full choke can now be safely fired in the marsh again! Tundra retains its softness and does not get brittle like normal tungsten, bismuth or steel. Since it deforms (due to being soft) it will not damage barrels even those constructed from Damascus steel no matter what the choke (even full turkey chokes). Now imagine using that old side by side shotgun of grandpas and crushing ducks at sixty to seventy yards. Another by product of Tundra is that it is denser than all other shot material, thus it carries more energy and retains that down range as well. This makes longer killing shots possible, a great option on late season educated birds. Besides having more energy or knockdown power, the density of Tundra shot helps create a more effective pattern in most guns. Mike Love, Fiocchi area manager, gave a good example of the characteristic of Tundra shot. Mike explained that common steel shot is very brittle as are other non toxic shot materials. Yet, he advised that a Tundra pellet can be easily deformed by pressing on it with a common ink pen. No more damaged teeth when eating cooked meat should the hunter miss a pellet when cleaning birds! The engineers at Fiocchi knew they were on to a great discovery with the Tundra composite material. During the R & D process, they developed two different weights or densities of the material, 9.5 and 12.5 g. For comparison, the 9.5 g density is 123 % heavier than steel, while the 12.5 g version is 160% heavier than steel and 115% heavier than lead! Now imagine the improvement that will have on your hunting success!

It goes without saying that since Tundra is denser or heavier in weight than steel, it will not have the blazing muzzle velocity advertised by steel loads. Mike Love stated that typical velocity in the Tundra 9.5g, 2 inch, 12 gauge load will be approximately 1340 fps. The Tundra 12.5g version lists 1350 fps in the 2 inch 12 gauge shell. Moving up to a three inch 12 gauge load, the Tundra 9.5g has a velocity of 1350 fps, while its denser brother the 12.5g offering lists 1280 fps velocity. The 12.5g is simply a purer material, thus more dense in composite than the 9.5g. Currently, only twelve gauge loads are offered, although twenty gauge ammo is expected in 2011.

Fiocchi Ammo - An Interview with Carlo Fiocchi by www.luckygunner.com The Godfather. The Sopranos. Pop cultures presentation of Italian family businesses here in the US particularly ones that somehow involve firearms - isnt always flattering or glamorous. But is this presentation realistic? Or could the reality of a multigenerational Italian family business actually be better than the movies? Better yet, is there one that could even be called a true American success story? To answer those questions, the folks at LuckyGunner.com recently caught up with Carlo Fiocchi, a 4th generation Italian ammunition manufacturer. What we learned surprised usand if youve watched either The Godfather or The Sopranos like we have, then his answers about Fiocchi Ammo will really surprise you too.

Fiocchi America In 1983, Carlo Fiocchi and his family decided to bring the Italian heritage and NATO-spec quality of Fiocchi Ammunition to the American domestic market. From 1983 until 1996 Mr. Fiocchi worked to create a beachhead in America for their product before taking a break to consult for third-parties in the firearms and optics markets. As the reigns passed in 2005 from the 3rd generation (who still consult for the company from retirement) to the 4th generation, Mr. Fiocchis younger cousins called him back into the business to lead the US market sales. Since that time Mr. Fiocchi has been a busy man: We have grown over 500% since 2005. At a time when many employers are cutting their payrolls, this growth has been good for Americans in Ozark, Missouri where Fiocchi America employs about 90% of their work force (the rest are in Nevada). We asked what percentage of Fiocchi ammo that is sold domestically in the United States is actually loaded here, the answer to which you can see in the breakdown over on the right. In a nutshell, more than 75% of the ammunition sold by Fiocchi in the U.S. is loaded here in the U.S., a statistic not widely known in the arms industry.

instead of focusing on the next quarter, we focus on the next generation when it comes to investments, strategies, and marketing. He seemed convinced that their current product lines, combined with their cutting edge non-toxic innovation, will keep the next generation of Fiocchis with plenty of work on their hands, We actually have 5th generation Fiocchis working externally right now, even though none of them currently work in the family business (which is apparently part of their secret formula to holding the family business in tact across generations). Oh . . . . and Mr. Fiocchis answer to our question of how he spends his days? Remember, this is a 4th generation Italian ammunition manufacturer who fits the part: tall, dark, handsome, thick accent, and an expensive pin-stripe suit. We expected to hear about late meetings in cigar-filled rooms with fellow international arms dealers, leisurely flights on private planes to private yachts, or perhaps even skydiving and driving Formula-One cars. Instead: I dont sleep a lot, he replies and then proceeds to layout a schedule that usually starts with emails at 6am in his office and ends around 1am with phone calls to his cousins in Lecco, Italy discussing component production, supply chain management, and new product innovations. As the interview drew to a close, it began to make more sense. This is a man on a mission a man with his name on the box. background on Fiocchi Ammo Fiocchi Ammo was established in 1876 by its founder Giulio Fiocchi. Can ESPN be Far behind? Extract from editorial by bob Rogers in Shooting Sports Retailer Jan/Feb 2011 Contributing writer Jeff Fletcher reports in Light Up Your Ranges, a new development in clay target shooting, especially under the lights (think Monday Night Shooting). The story is all about Fiocchis new Cyalume ChemiTracer shotshell which, when fired, visually leaves a reddish trail light on its way to the flying clay target. The result is two-fold: shooters can see where their shot is going (leading or behind, over or below the target) and, most significantly, allows spectators to see a crop of shot powdering a clay bird. While weve only seen the video (which SSR viewers of the digital edition of this January issue can see by going to the Fiocchi ad at www.shootingsportsretailer-digital.com on page 54), the effect is definitely exciting. Italian Heritage

In this article, Mr. Fiocchi opens up about his familys history during the allied bombing of the Fiocchis family plants in After only a short time, anyone who speaks with Mr. Fiocchi can tell that he has a northern Italy during World War II, how the Fiocchi family thinks commanding grip on the domestic ammunition market; his prestigious Italian speech about business and ammunition, and even what Mr. Fiocchi almost melts into boyish excitement when he starts discussing new product development, thinks about his American competitors like Remington and the speed at which markets currently change, and the measures Fiocchi America employs Winchester. . . . so lets get started, capisci? to meet those changes head on. However, his tone of voice became almost reverential when he spoke about his American competitors like Remington and Winchester, who I respect immensely. Many Americans may not realize it, but Fiocchi actually has a long-standing partnership with Hornady. We have a great relationship with Hornady. They are a family business also and I think our cultures of honor and integrity are a great match. We both have a family reputation to uphold and besides, they just make a top notch product. While Fiocchi currently loads Hornady projectiles into a variety of cartridges, Mr. Fiocchi recalled how they started by loading the Hornady V-max bullet into the 5.7x28mm cartridge for FN Herstal and quickly moved the partnership into more product lines. Additionally, Fiocchi loads Sierra projectiles into a number of their center-fire rifle cartridges. The Future of Fiocchi When we asked Mr. Fiocchi where he wanted to be in 10 years, he said with a laugh, At the beach, but that is never going to happen because it isnt in my nature. When we asked Mr. Fiocchi to tell us where he envisioned Fiocchi USA in ten years, he proceeded to launch into a long list of initiatives and product launches, centered mostly around the non-toxic market, that he estimated will keep him busy for at least seven to ten years. Here is a brief overview of what to look for from Fiocchi: Law-Enforcement Product Line - Fiocchi has developed a frangible FMJ round with a compound core (instead of lead) that is approved by the Fish & Wildlife Service which they plan to build a law-enforcement ammunition line around. Reloading Guide for Non-Toxic Ammunition - Fiocchi is currently developing a thorough at-home reloading guide for non-toxic ammunition because working with non-toxic primers requires unconventional combinations of components and assembly processes. Look for this to be released to the US market in the next 6-12 months. Cowboy Action Product Line - Fiocchi plans to release a complete line of cowboy action products by 2011, starting with 45 Long Colt, 44 Special, 32 S&W Long, and 30-30. When asked about the future of Fiocchi as a family business, he disclosed, Since it is a 100% family business, matters are always politically delicate. . . . but the upside is that

Through gatherings like the annual family Christmas dinner, which they still observe to this day, Carlo Fiocchi was steeped in family legend and reared in the vocabulary of small arms ammunition from a very young age. My first memories of life are in the ammunition business, from as early as 3-4 years old, Mr. Fiocchi, now 54, warmly recalls through a thick Italian accent. Fiocchi Munizioni, the 100% privately held Italian parent company, has had its share of setbacks since it was founded in 1876 by Giulio Fiocchi. During World War II, he explains, we were basically occupied after 1943 by the Germans and the plants suffered tremendously from air raids. Thankfully, as the 2nd and 3rd generation of Fiocchis have told him, the family decided to reach into what was left of their savings, pour it back into the business, and rebuild which was not atypical for other European family businesses at the time, recounts Mr. Fiocchi. While the destruction wrought during WWII almost eliminated the Fiocchi family from the ammunition business, their resilience and desire to rebuild created somewhat of an opportunity for them: new factories, new technology, new equipment. Engineers at Heart Mr. Fiocchi explains that while his passion is in sales, marketing, and building his brand in the marketplace, his family has traditionally been one of engineers: My family members are almost all engineers. We produce or design the vast majority of our own machines in our internal design shop. Our engineering department creates the specs, the dies, and the prototypes. The customers, he points out, are ultimately the benefactors of this product-centric approach. For example, Fiocchi is NATO-certified which means they can supply all the NATO militaries and police forces: This is an advantage for us because our factory can produce ammunition that is proven. When asked if that means ammunition sold to the United States civilian market is of similar quality, Mr. Fiocchi responded, Yes, they are ran from the same production lines. It makes no sense [to split them up] if you consider the costs between making it well and not so well.

Look at the two shooters on the rangeshooting platform (foreground, left) as clay targets fly through the air. Note the orange leading or trailing tracer lights in pursuit of the clays. Some of the Cyalume ChemiTracer. the awards that Fiocchi has achieved include the NATO AQAP-110 Certification, the ISO The effect produces its own fi reworks show that we predict will gain near-instant popularity Certification of the Environment Management System, and the UNI EN ISO Certification with excited shooters and bleacher spectators alike at ranges across this great nation. of the Quality Management System. The company is headquartered in Via Santa Barbara in Lecco, Italy. Lecco is also the location of Fiocchi Ammos main manufacturing plant. But now comes possibly the next big draw: events staged like a mini fireworks show that Fiocchi Ammo is still entirely owned by the founders family after being in business for over 130 years! are produced around visual impacts that attract fans to bleacher seats. The newest of these involve ammunition maker Fiocchi, an Italianbased company with USA operations on a steady growth curve. Its latest product, seen in the aforementioned video, is called the ChemiTracer, the shotgun shell developed for Fiocchi by Cyalume Technologies, maker of military-grade chemiluminescent light instruments (think break-apart light sticks), a cartridge that includes tracer-like components that allow shooters and spectators alike to see the shot pellets come out of the gun, tracing their way to hits or misses on clay targets. Think of it as Sporting Clays on steroids. ChemiTracer, the worlds first nonpyrotechnic shot gun tracer, creates a daytime-visible trace that travels with the cloud of the shot allowing shooters to instantly determine how to correct their aim. Cyalume and Fiocchi anticipate presenting the new ChemiTracer shotshell platform with a planned full product launch in 2011. The non-toxic, non-flammable, non-incendiary Chemi Tracer shotgun shell dramatically enhances training capabilities for both the law enforcement and target shooting markets while eliminating all of the fire hazards and environmental issues associated with conventional tracer applications. Carlo Fiocchi, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales, Fiocchi Ammunition USA, claims that the new ammo product has far-reaching possibilities for training. The ChemiTracer is a transformational technological break through which has the potential to revolutionize training for our shooters, he said. But that may only be the cake below the icing. The really good stuff comes when shooters and non-shooters, alike, see the product in action. At that point, spectators could become participants and participating shooters means growth sales for retailers.

Fiocchi EMb Line : Introduced first in 9mm, the 93 Grain EMB bullet is made from an alloy of copper and bronze. The bullet is one piece, so there is no core-jacket separation. As such, penetration is good and consistent. The light-weight bullet has very high velocity and impact energy. The combination of impact at high velocity, engineered expansion, and high weight retention (no fragmentation and no core/jacket separation) translate to reduced over-penetration and high energy transfer. The Fiocchi EMB would make an excellent choice where over-penetration is a concern. The projectile and primer are also lead and heavy metal free. Fiocchi Frangible Non-Toxic Line: Our cutting edge line utilizes SinterFire frangible, lead free bullets. Of particular interest for use in indoor ranges, steel plate shooting matches, and by police departments for tactical training, these bullets literally crumble to dust upon impact with hard surfaces. The copper/tin composite SinterFire bullet (containing no jacket or plating) yields the proven benefits of functional reliability (due to the bullets molded-in taper crimp), uniform dimensions, weight, superior accuracy, and repeatable performance. Fiocchi Pistol Shooting Dynamics Line: If you dont train, you wont perform-its that simple. We know training with highperformance ammunition is not an option for most of us shooters. Thats why Fiocchi manufactures the Shooting Dynamics line of ammunition. Bullet weights and velocities that provide the trajectory, feel, and recoil of our Extrema line at a reduced price. Full metal jacket, jacketed hollow point, jacketed soft point, and lead bullets complete the line of ammunition that allows you to increase your training time without having to increase your training budget. We also offer bullets that have an enclosed base and lead-free primer to reduce lead at the firing line for indoor range applications. Perfect also for a leisurely day at the range, and competition use for three gun or other competitions, Shooting Dynamics means you get to shoot more and spend less. Get a box and try it. Fiocchi 410 Shotshell & 45 Colt - loaded in a Taurus Judge You will find a higher level of quality in Fiocchis Shooting Dynamics than you will in other brands of budget ammunition. Fiocchi Pistol & Revolver Classic Line: If you are a proud owner of a Mauser Broomhandle, English Webley, Russian Nagant, or other classic, collectible handgun, get them out of the safe and to the range with Fiocchis line of calibers to suit this special class of firearms. Using modern smokeless powders, non-corrosive primers, and boxer-primed reloadable brass cases, you can trust your old gun to new ammunition from Fiocchi. Fiocchi is one of the few manufacturers in the world to offer this selection of calibers for guns from around the world. In some calibers, we are the only manufacturer of modern ammunition for them. We load these classic calibers to their original specifications, taking into account pressure and velocity considerations true to their heritage. If it has been too long, we recommend you have your gun checked by a qualified gunsmith to make sure it is in safe working condition. Once you get the green light to shoot it, get Fiocchi and get to the range. Fiocchi Extrema Pistol XTP Line: We hope you never need it. But if you do, we want to provide the most reliable, accurate self defense ammunition we can. It was an immediate success when introduced in 2008, and we continue to check and confirm quality and consistency that you expect in highperformance ammunition. Fiocchi chose the XTP bullet for its well-known and consistent performance when it counts. Controlled expansion and consistent penetration are the characteristics we wanted for our best defensive handgun ammunition. The XTP bullet design, when loaded in our sleek nickel-plated cases, combine to ensure positive feeding and extraction when it matters most. Our manufacturing know-how and in-process testing confirm that our high-quality primers, and performance powders come together to deliver the ballistic equilibrium required when it really counts.

Generalizations on Pellet Lethality and Pattern Density Ballistic Products Statistics and Pellet Ballistics Generalizations that years of experience and laboratory and field testing support Assumes that the pellets in a given load are the same size and fired at same velocities 1) Most lethal short-range pellet is soft lead shot - Chilled lead shot, .5 to 2% antimony - Deforms upon impact delivering more energy to target - Reduces over penetration (passing through target) - Deforms upon firing (setback) creating better short-range patterns due to fliers - Retains sufficient velocity at short-range for adequate penetration - Poor mid to long-range patterns - Deforms upon firing (setback) creating a poor ballistic coefficient - Patterns are less dense and inconsistent at mid to long-range due to fliers - Loses velocity quickly due to poor ballistic coefficient - Poor mid to long-range penetration 2) Next most lethal shot is hard lead shot mid to long-range - Antimony alloyed up to 3 to 6% depending on shot size - Maintains better sphericity, fewer fliers, better retained velocity, and still deforms on target 3) The most lethal long-range pellet is plated lead shot - Nickel plated shot better than copper plated shot - Maintains better sphericity during setback - Better mid to long-range patterns, better retained velocity, and still deforms on target 4) The least lethal pellet used at any range is steel shot - Pellets do not deform upon firing - Dense patterns small in diameter easier to miss targets due to aiming errors - Over penetration at short-range - Pellets less dense than lead - Pellets lose velocity faster than lead at equivalent sphericity - Less penetration at long-range - One upside to steel that there are more pellets per ounce - Improves pattern density 5) Heavier (denser) non-toxic pellets such as Tungsten-Matrix and Bismuth are more lethal than steel shot because they are softer and heavier per the volume they occupy - Ballistic Products does not suggest that non-toxic pellets are better than magnum or plated lead shot 6) Ballistic Products Best Hypothetical Ballistic Pellet - Significantly more dense than lead (depleted uranium) - Dead soft core - Nickel or copper plated - Plated Tundra Shot???

Fiocchi Tundra Waterfowl and Upland/Game bird You need an alternative to steel that flies and hits like lead. You want to be able to shoot it on your old or new gun without concerns about barrel damage from the payload. We went to work to make that happen. The result is our Tundra line of tungsten-composite shotshells. With the right combination of materials (tungsten, stainless steel, a binder, and graphite coating) we have found the alternative to lead and steel that does the job without damaging your barrels. Since it behaves like lead, our Tundra can be shot and choked like lead. The pellets are round, fly true, and penetrate and deform on contact with the game like lead. No odd-shaped pellets, no brittle or broken pellets, no gun damage, no lack of deformation, and reduced cripples. Just dead birds. Thats why Tundra will work for you. Wipe down the old guns and get them back in the hunt. Fiocchi offers Tundra in two weights (densities)-heavier than lead and heavier than bismuth. We offer 12 ga. and 20 ga. loads in 2 and 3, and shot sizes from BB to #6, for everything from geese on the fly, ducks over decoys, and turkeys to pheasants and everything in between. Fiocchi High Velocity Line For 2011, the Fiocchi Optima Specific line of high velocity shotshells will deliver the performance you need. High-brass cases, cushioned shot cup wads, quality shot, and clean-burning powders ignited by our tried and true primers help ensure that we are doing our part to help make your hunt successful. Try recent additions like the 20ga. 3 1 ounce load at 1200 f.p.s. and the 12 ga. 2 1 1/8 ounce loads at 1330 f.p.s. when you want a little more downrange performance. Our tried and true high velocity loads in all sizes including .410 bore, 28, 20, 16, and 12 gauges have been satisfying hunters for years. Give them a try and we believe you will be glad you did. Fiocchi Classic Side by Side Loads You need an alternative to steel that flies and hits like lead. You want to be able to shoot For those shooters who enjoy shooting the classic British 24 and 32 gauge side by sides, Fiocchi continues our tradition of offering loads for these fine guns. Shoot them and enjoy the classics! Fiocchi Game Loads Promotional-grade shotshells sometimes do not get the attention they deserve. With Fiocchi, what we consider a promotional-grade load still gets the attention to quality manufacturing and components you expect to pay more for. One-piece shot cup cushioned wads and round, first-quality chilled shot help us to deliver more shell for your dollar. Clean-burning powders keep the autoloaders running. We strive to provide quality and value above what some others consider adequate. Fiocchis promotional loads may not be the cheapest, but is that what you really want?

Fiocchi Steel Waterfowl Line Fiocchi offers a wide range of steel shot shells for the waterfowl hunter. Treated steel pellets (zinc-plated pellets in our Golden Goose and Golden Waterfowl) keep your patterns consistent and aerodynamic for optimum downrange performance on game birds. Tough wads keep the payload in check. Speaking of payloads, Fiocchi offers many choices for hunters who prefer faster speed or heavier payload s to help deliver the quick, humane kills all hunters strive for. We want to help you fill your limit more quickly so you can look back on a successful hunt as you collect your decoys. You will find Fiocchi Steel in 2 , 3, and 3 loads ready to bring home the birds at a price that wont break the bank. Fiocchi Golden Pheasant Line The best we can make for pheasant hunters-that is our Golden Pheasant. With a long-standing history of successful bird hunts, our Golden Pheasant loads combine hard, nickel-plated shot with powder and primer combinations to ensure consistent performance in the most demanding hunting conditions. We go the extra step with nickel plating. To nickel plate the shot, it must first be copper plated to get the nickel to stick. So, nickel-plated shot is like copper plated shot, but harder so the benefits are greater. The major benefit of nickel-plated shot is increased surface hardness which means the pellets stay rounder, fly truer at longer range to deliver good patterns, cut through feathers, and penetrate deeper for quick, humane kills. Most pheasant hunters go to great lengths to hunt pheasants-dont skimp on the most important gear of the trip. Make sure Fiocchi Golden Pheasants are along for the hunt. Available in 12ga. (2 and 3), 16 ga., 20ga. (2 and 3), and 28 gauge for those who choose to carry lighter guns. Also excellent for grouse and other upland birds. Fiocchi Nickel-Plated Turkey Line Extra-hard copper then nickel-plated shot in our turkey loads ensure tight, consistent patterns when the prize Tom is in your sights. With Fiocchis extra-hard shot, buffer is not needed to deliver the patterns you need to get the job done. Available in 12 ga. 3, and 3 lengths. Fiocchi Nickel-Plated buckshot Line Fiocchi is the only manufacturer to offer nickel-plated buckshot. Why? Because we understand the benefits of copper and then nickel-plating to deliver the hardest buckshot pellets we can. To you, that means better, tighter patterns and better penetration. Fiocchi offers high-velocity (1325 f.p.s) buckshot loads in 00 and #4 buck for hunting, home defense, or law enforcement. Fiocchi also offers a reduced recoil load at 1150 f.p.s . that still delivers plenty of energy on target with much less recoil. This load also works well for home defense and LE training (it may or may not function various semiautomatic shotguns). Fiocchi Aero Slug Line Fiocchis use of the distinctive attached wad makes sure our slug arrives on target. They work well in smooth and rifled barrels to deliver excellent accuracy. All of our slugs are full-bore for maximum impact. Our heavy-hitter is a 1 oz. at 1560 f.p.s., 2 . We also have two lower-recoil slugs (both also 2 ), a 1 oz. at 1150 f.p.s. and a 7/8 oz. at 1300 f.p.s. Any of these would be perfect for hunting, law enforcement, and three gun competitions.

Fiocchi Shotshell Cases We are a world leader in shotshell manufacturing. Our Italian parent company makes more than 500 million cases a year (some destined to be used by other manufacturers you may know). Our 130-year experience is an edge you can rely on when the targets count. The construction of our bi-directionally oriented tubes, our latest base wad, high-carbon high-strength heads, our world-renown primers-all of these ingredients combine to give you the best shotshell hull we can make. Fiocchi Wads Only the best wads from Baschieri & Pellagri and Gualandi are used in our Exacta Target shotshells. These wads contain plastic elastomers that help absorb recoil and seal gases to help ensure that the shell is softer shooting and that patterns are optimized (no blow-by). These wads also utilize a full shot cup and cushion to ease stresses on the pellets. This means more consistency for the shooter with regard to velocity and pattern, and consistency means accuracy. High Quality Powders Fiocchi uses the best American and European powders we can find. Utilizing both singleand double-base powders, chosen for each application, we ensure that powders perform consistently and cleanly to keep you and your gun functioning throughout extended shooting sessions of practice or competition. High Quality Shot You expect the best and Fiocchi delivers. High-antimony (5%) lead pellets with near perfectly round shape help to deliver to the shooter the consistent, target-grinding patterns that make sure you get credit for every target you hit. In our Helice, Nickel

Crushers, you will find a combination of 3.2% antimony shot plated extra-thick with copper and then nickel for the special target presentations any competitive shooter may find. Be ready with Fiocchi. Shooting Dynamics Target Loads We want you to know that just because you choose promotional ammunition for target shooting, Fiocchi believes you should get as much quality as we can deliver in lowerpriced ammunition. We will not compromise our high standards of quality. We employ the same manufacturing and in-process testing that we use for our best target loads. Cleaner burning powders, one-piece shot cup cushioned wads, rounder shot with consistent payloads, and the reliable Fiocchi primer in our renowned hull make sure that just because you dont spend as much on the shells, you still get a great value for your shooting dollar. Fiocchis Range of Target Loads: Here is a breakdown of the many loads Fiocchi offers to help any target shooter perform at a higher level. 7/8 Ounce Loads We have been loading 7/8 ounce target and training loads for many years. Many shooters are surprised to see how well the loads pattern and break targets. They expect the low recoil, and Fiocchi delivers. This load performs well even in the semi-automatic gas-operated shotguns. With velocities similar to many heavier loads, you wont have to worry about adjusting your leads. 1 Ounce Loads Fiocchi is an industry leader in the one once loads. Long before many shooters would consider them, we pioneered the load and shooters began to experience the lower recoil and new-found confidence in the lighter loads. Fiocchi offers a wide selection of 1 ounce loads from our economical Shooting Dynamics selections to the Interceptor Spreader. Velocities from 1150 to 1400 f.p.s., Fiocchi offers a solution to any target problem. Cushioned shot cup wads, clean powders, magnum hard shot, and reliable primers combine to make sure you and your gun keep breaking targets all day long. 1 1/16 Ounce Loads For those shooters not quite ready to move to 1 ounce, you may find a sweet spot in between the 1 and 1 1/8 ounce you are used to shooting. With less recoil than a 1 1/8 but more pellets than a 1 ounce load, this might just be what you are looking for. We are confident you will find excellent patterns and broken targets as the reward for trying this innovative load. Thorough research and development resulted in 93% patterns with an improved-modified choke at 32 yards. 1 1/8 Ounce Loads Long the standard for target shooting, Fiocchi offers many favorites you may well be familiar with for Trap and Sporting Clays. You may have already shot our well-known White Rino at 1250 f.p.s.-great for handicap trap and many sporting clays presentations. Many shooters tell us that our heavy 1 1/8 ounce loads kick less than the other brands. If less power will do the trick, try our Light White Rino, still 1 1/8 oz. but with less velocity (and recoil) at 1175 f.p.s. You expect the hard shot, shot cup cushioned wads, clean powders, and reliable primers in our best target loads and the Rinos deliver.

24 Grams International Loads For serious Olympic Trap, Double Trap, and Skeet shooting, our International loads are the right tool for the task. The best components combine to deliver the consistent, optimum performance these shooters expect. 24 grams of hard magnum shot at 1350 f.p.s. Low Recoil Training Loads New shooters and seasoned shooters will appreciate the lack of recoil combined with high performance these loads deliver. We want the new shooter to remember the fun they had, not the sore shoulder. Experienced shooters as well can benefit from these loads during the course of a long day, or a long competition over several days. Great for new shooters, young shooters, and any shooters who are looking for as little recoil as they can get. You will find it here. Spreader Loads-1 and 1 1/8 ounce With three Spreader loads, it is easy to see that Fiocchi takes the shooting sports seriously. We want you to have the tools you need to break the targets. 1 ounce loads at 1200 (the Power Spreader) and 1300 f.p.s. (the Interceptor Spreader) and a 1 1/8 ounce load at 1250 f.p.s. (the Rino Spreader) mean that you can find a spreader with the lead, recoil, and speed you want. Closer targets are more fun to shoot and easier to score with Fiocchi Spreaders. Exacta Nickel Plated and Helice Loads When you need the benefits of nickel plated shot in a target load, Fiocchi delivers. Harder pellets stay rounder and fly truer through the air, breaking the target with more authoritythat is why Fiocchi puts nickel plated shot in these special application target loads. Both the Nickel Crusher 1300 f.p.s. 1 ounce loads and the 1 ounce Helice load at 1350 f.p.s. fill the need for these special shooting applications. Fiocchi Steel Target Loads When you cant shoot lead, look to the leader in target loads to deliver. The Fiocchi Steel Target Load provides the alternative you need to keep you shooting. We offer a 12ga. 1 oz. load at 1200 f.p.s. that performs like the lead loads you are used to for velocity and leads. Fiocchi also offers a 20 ga. 7/8 oz. load at 1225 f.p.s. Both loads feature treated #7 steel shot and wads that encapsulate the shot payload.

Sub Gauge Loads Fiocchi fills the selection of loads for the sub gauge shooters who enjoy shooting the .410 bore, 28, 20, and even 16 gauge shotguns or tube sets. Whether it is the added challenge, lighter gun, or a longer shooting day that draws you to the sub gauges, Fiocchi ensures you will have ammunition up to the task. Our 20ga. Main Event 1 ounce load is just right for the shooters who want to participate in Sporting Shoots with their favorite 20 gauge shotgun. Fiocchi strives to offer the most complete selection of professional-quality target loads for the shooter who counts the broken birds at the end of the day. We offer many loads to satisfy your style of shooting. We are proud to say that when score counts, we know you can count on Fiocchi. Fiocchi Exacta Target Loads-The best We Can Make Fiocchi has been making quality ammunition for competition for over 130 years. We rely on that experience while taking advantage of new technology to make the best target ammunition money can buy. In cooperation with our Italian parent company, Fiocchi Munizioni, we are proud to say we supply ammunition to Olympic Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal winners. American, European, and World Championships have also been won with Fiocchi ammunition. This history of success continues to drive us to produce the best we can make, regardless of whether it will be shot at the Olympics or at your local club. You put a lot of time and effort into being the best shooter you can. We put forth the same extra effort to be sure the Fiocchi ammunition you choose will not let you down. With our Exacta Target Loads, there is no room for compromise. Only the best will do.

Fiocchi 22 LR Exacta Super Match Line: Fiocchis Exacta .22 LR Super Match ammunition has won more Olympic Gold , Silver and Bronze Medals than we can count the last one being the Silver won by Ralph Schumann of Germany in Beijing , in the rapid fire pistol event. Fiocchi is proud to be among the few manufacturers left in the world who produce true .22 LR Super Match ammunition. Starting from our exclusive priming mixture and priming system ( the mixture is not spun in the rim but is pressed in the same ) , guaranteeing an even burning ratio and minimal standard deviation and delay of ignition , to the precision drawing of the case always gauged for the precise orthogonality , to the specially lubricated bullets , loaded using a unique process that prevents bullets from touching one another to ensure the loaded bullet integrity , all of these factors are contributing , together with exclusive powder mix , to the small miracle of an ammunition which has no peers in the arena. Fiocchi .22 LR Match Line: The Fiocchi .22 LR Match Line offers an ideal training solution for the demanding competitive shooter. Reproducing the same felt recoil of our Super Match Exacta Line, this ammunition offers an economical alternative for those long practice sessions without making a dent in your shooting budget. Fiocchi .22 LR & .22 WM Performance Shooting Dynamics Line: This is our Sport and Hunting line of .22 rimfire ammunition. Divided into products intended for the informal target shooter and plinker, as well as hunters, this line, which sees in 2009 the addition of a new Subsonic .22LR, has enjoyed increasing popularity since its introduction in 2006.Fiocchis .22 Win.Mag. offerings are available in three variations: jacketed hollow point, jacketed soft point, and full metal jacket. These .22 Win Mag loads have won favor from hunters in the field and target shooters at the range. Fiocchi Specialty Rimfire: If you are one of those lucky owners of a Flobert 9mm. rimfire shotgun, you have found the source for your ammo! Available in shot sizes 6-7, 5-8 and 9, Fiocchis 9mm Flobert shells feature a casing made entirely of brass with components carefully chosen to ensure the most reliable performance. Still very popular in Europe, Fiocchi is the only manufacturer in the world making this ideal varmint and snake gun cartridge available to American shooters.

Fiocchi Components: To f u l f i l l a n i n c r e a s i n g demand from our specialized distributors we are proud to offer in 2011 a line of empty primed shotshell cases. These cases are available in 12 and 20 gauge in various height s: 2 , 2-3/4 and 3 inch. Featuring high brass plated steel heads and packing our legendary 616 primer they will substitute some of those already fired shells for those who perform some serious loading.

Fiocchi Primers: Fiocchi continues to enjoy success with our 6 1 6 primer. Our 6 1 6 (2 0 9 size) primer ( 209 size) has been for 25 years a favorite of the American shotshell re-loader. The secret for a good primer relies on impeccable c h e m i s t r y, e x a c t i n g t o l e r a n c e s f o r the metallic parts (cup, battery cup and anvil), and painstakingly precise assembly of the parts composing this explosive cocktail. Fiocchi has it all : a traditionally state of the art chemical R&D complex , the best in-house built dies , Swiss made presses for the metallic components and fully robotized assembly lines : all of these resources are making Fiocchi one of the leading manufacturers of primers worldwide. Having further expanded our European production capability we can now offer also to the US market our superior and sought after line of center fire primers.

Fiocchi Specialty blanks: In keeping with its philosophy of providing the full range of products to meet every shooters needs, Fiocchi offers a line of specialty blank cartridges. Used by military re-enactors, in ceremonies, for training exercises, in theatrical productions and hunting dog training, blank ammunition provide the report and realism of conventional ammunition without projectile. Fiocchis popper Blanks (offered in 1,000 round bulk packaging) are the most popular and successful loads on the US market for use in hunting and dog training competitions. Our Rubber Buckshot and Rubber Baton rounds are an ideal resource for LE use in the less than lethal field as they are for game management when the objective is to deter the presence of an animal more than the elimination of the same. All Fiocchi centerfire blanks are manufactured using brass cases. Most rimmed calibers now incorporate crimped primers for greater reliability when used in revolvers.
