ORDER NO 1. DISSEMINATION OF SQUADRON STANDING & ROUTINE ORDERS 1. Copies of Sqn Standing Orders (SSOs) and Sqn Routine Orders (SROs) are to be displayed in the Staff Admin Office, the SNCOs Office and the Parade Room Noticeboard. ORDER NO 2. SQN PROBATIONARY APPOINTMENTS 2. The following Probationary Appointments have been authorised by OC Sqn: a. Ms (CI) Ayjan Ibrahim 16 May 11 WEF . b. Mr (CI) Thomas Smallman WEF 5 Sep 11. REPEAT ORDERS ORDER NO 3. CORE TRAINING ACTIVITIES 3. Annex A details the Sqns Core Training (CT) Activities for 2011. CT activities have priority above all other events and every step must be taken to ensure that these places are filled. Personnel found to be avoiding the CT activities but choosing to attend the Voluntary Activities will be questioned by the OC Sqn. 4. Included within the CT activities are Wing Training Day and the annual Remembrance Parade in Studley. All personnel are reminded that these activities are classed as Mandatory Parades. Personnel unable to attend are to explain to the OC Sqn why they are not able to attend. 5. All personnel are to check the eligibility criteria for an activity before putting their name down. Once the final list has been compiled, personnel are expected to attend. Those that do not will be questioned by the OC Sqn. 6. Staff allocated to transport Cadets to a CT activity, or those attending a CT activity as part of their own training need, are responsible for co-coordinating all administration for the activity, including any travel claims. 7. Where Staff find themselves unable to meet their allocation, they are to arrange appropriate cover for the activity. ORDER NO 4. VOLUNTARY TRAINING ACTIVITIES 8. Annex B details the Sqns Voluntary Training (VT) Activities for 2011. VT activities are secondary to CT activities in all cases.

9. VT activities are often subject to a bidding process and a financial cost. Therefore once the final list has been compiled, personnel are expected to attend. Those that do not will be questioned by the OC Sqn. 10. All personnel are to check the eligibility criteria for an activity before putting their name down and should be aware of the fact that these activities may require additional training before being eligible to attend. ORDER NO 5. SQN FLIGHT LISTS 11. Annex C details the Sqn Flight Lists as at 5 Sep 11. Changes to these lists will be promulgated by future SROs. ORDER NO 6. RECRUIT & CLASSIFICATION TRAINING INSTRUCTORS 12. Annex D details the list of instructors responsible for Recruit and Classification training. Instructors are to liaise with the Sqn Trg Off with regard to their lesson requirements. ORDER NO 7. WING CHILD PROTECTION COORDINATOR 13. WBW/112/P2 dated 17 Jan 11 announced the appointment of Flt Lt Les Vile (OC 163 Sqn) as the Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing Child Protection Coordinator (WCPC) and detailed his responsibilities and duties. In essence, the WCPC acts as a liaison between OC Wg, Wg Ex O, external agencies and individuals disclosing child protection and safeguarding concerns. This order highlights the important changes to the reporting procedures that are in immediate effect (summarised at Annex E): a. As per ACP4 and the Yellow Card, child protection and safeguarding issues are to remain confidential to the Staff member or over-18 Cadet, plus any additional witness agreed to by the discloser. b. The Sqn Chain of Command only needs to be aware that there is a safeguarding concern in progress. They do not need to be made aware of the details of the concern. c. HQAC is to be notified, via the WCPC or Wg Ex O, of a child protection or safeguarding concern that has been referred to any external agency (police, social services, NSPCC etc). See Annex F for details of the reporting procedure. d. Details are only to be reported to the WCPC or Wg Ex O via personal BADER email accounts (OCs or Adjs accounts) or by telephone followed by a sealed letter by first class post. The general Sqn BADER account or personal email accounts are not to be used. e. The contact details of the WCPC are as follows: 1) 0121 608 5839 (Home) 2) 07810 500 242 (Work Mobile) 3) 07834 379 194 (Personal Mobile) 4) oc.163@aircadets.org (BADER email)

ORDER NO 8. ACCESS TO DCAE COSFORD AIRFIELD 14. WHQ have advised that the security arrangements for accessing the DCAE Cosford Airfield have been tightened. This will now affect all Staff and Cadets visiting 633 VGS and the range complex.

15. All personnel accessing the Airfield now must book in via the MGS Guardroom using an official form of photographic identification. For personnel without a photographic Service ID (RAF F1250, MOD F90 or RAF F3822 with photograph) a Temporary Personal Pass will be issued by MGS. 16. A vehicle pass must also be displayed in any vehicle accessing the Airfield. Again, those without a Permanent Station Vehicle Pass must book in via the MGS Guardroom to obtain a Temporary Vehicle Pass. 17. The Crash Gate 2 code will only be issued by the MGS when booking in. Personnel are not to obtain the code from someone already present and give themselves access. 18. Failure to comply with these orders will result in RAF Police action against the person accessing the Airfield and the person giving access. ORDER NO 9. SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES 19. An official ACO Policy on social networking sites will be released in the near future. However, some guidelines have been released in advance: a. b. c. It is deemed in appropriate for Adult Staff to be friends with Cadets on social network sites. This also applies to Cadets adding Staff as friends. A member of the ACO must not bring the organisation into disrepute, either through comments or actions online. Anybody doing so is liable for disciplinary action and/or dismissal from the organisation. Publishing information or pictures of Cadets or Staff without permission is strictly prohibited. Photographic permission should be written via the RAF Fm 3822a.

20. Therefore, in accordance with Para 20a, all Cadets with Staff as friends should remove such association with immediate effect. Original Signed MP HULME Flight Lieutenant RAFVR(T) OC 480 Sqn Distribution: OC (Signed Copy) Admin Office SNCOs Office Cadet Noticeboard
