CAREER OBJECTIVE
To apply broad informatics knowledge (technical and process) to implement new clinical systems. Work diligently and closely with clinical subject matter experts and team members to optimize care supported by clinical information systems. Actively participate in process analysis and redesign, communication, education and clinician support with deployment of new functionality. Currently seeking a position which will initially be an integral part of the HIT implementation team, requiring skills such as: project management, analysis of the care processes and workflow of the hospital for migration from paper to CPOE, ensure proper education & training to clinical staff and physicians for CPOE conversion, support clinicians and providers at the time of transformation of the site/hospital, and monitor the system and impacted processes post go-live.

CAREER CHANGE
With a family background in healthcare and a passion for IT, it soon became obvious, after being repeatedly asked to perform IT related tasks at former workplaces that Healthcare IT would be a perfect fit for me. I met a mentor who has been a Healthcare IT consultant for over 20 years, and with his leadership and guidance, I became certified within the field. Waterskiing Ranked top ten in the world for three years straight in the slalom event competed on a national level for twelve years. Helped launch ski school coaching program and pro shop at Trophy Lakes Water Sports in Charleston, SC.
