Sandwell Cricket League Youth Team V West Midlands Police

Special appearances will be made by sisters, Salma Bi and Anisha Bi.

On 11th September 20011, at West Smethwick Park, West Park Road, Smethwick. A mixture of players from all the teams in the League under the age of 18 will play in a fundraising match with the local Sandwell Police, including the participation of Chief Super Mark Robinson (pictured left).

Fundraising will take place to purchase a much needed minibus for the League. If you wan to participate in fundraising please find Sponsor form on Page 10. SCL Secretary Omar Chaudhrey said, "its a fantastic opportunity for the local Police to interact with the local community, it shows they are human. I am looking forward to the event."

Sandwell Parks Indoor Cricket League

Sandwell Cricket League is launching its very own winter indoor cricket league. The venue recently opened by Abid Khan called Stumps WM (Stumps West Midlands) will officially open in 2 weeks. SCL League Secretary said " its a new challenge for us, we are trying to give players an option to play cricket throughout the year, the league will be good for those who find our climate a bit to cold to play cricket!!. SCL is involved in many projects at the moment, we are looking into providing disability cricket, women's cricket and also a league for local schools. Its exciting times ahead."
