Since its inception over one hundred years ago in 1904 the YWCA of Trenton has been living its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women in New Jerseys Capital City.

Today, the YWCA continues that same tradition through its many youth services including day care and preschool programs, summer camp, and after school programs. Our residence, Dunham Hall, houses 90 formerly homeless women, many who are victims of domestic violence. We empower women through our job search and placement center, the Latinas Unidas program, and our English as a Second Language Classes. We raise awareness about racism through our Stand Against Racism initiative, which has now reached a national level and has attracted well over one quarter million participants in an effort to end racism in our communities: www.StandAgainstRacism.org.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno is inducted into the NJ Womens Hall of Fame. Civil Rights Icon, Edith Savage Jennings, was part of the inaugural class of inductees of the New Jersey Womens Hall of Fame.
