Preface

This is the Test Bank that accompanies the tenth edition of Contemporary Business by Louis E. Boone and David L. Kurtz. The test bank contains over 4,000 true/false, multiple choice, essay, and completion presented by chapter and learning goal. Characteristics of the Test Bank Each question is coded to the page(s) in the text on which the correct answer of content for the question appears. Each has been designed to measure a chapter Learning Goal and is coded to that goal. In addition to questions that test whether a student has learned facts or information, many of the items test students' ability to apply that knowledge to examples or situations not presented in the text. Accordingly, multiple choice items are coded as knowledge or application. Approximately 75 percent of the question are new or revised and have been updated from the last edition. Every effort has been made to construct questions that conform to sound testing principles and measure learning rather than reading skills. In addition, the questions vary in difficulty so the instructor has a development and evaluation instrument that meets his or her particular needs. There is an attribute line paired with each question. These attributes allow for instructors to select questions best suited for their own classroom. The following is the key to the attributes in the Test Bank: ANS: DIFF: PAGE: TYPE: question answer 1 (easy), 2 (medium), 3 (hard) textbook page reference for question material cognitive type: knowledge (KN) or application (AP)

This Test Bank is also available to instructors in a computerized format. Upon adoption, to request the Computerized Test Bank, contact your local Harcourt College Publishers sales representative.
