NETWORK OPERATIONS PROJECT ENGINEER


Honeywell International/Allied Signal, Pasadena, CA (April 1990 Aug 1998) Contracted by the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) to direct and support tracking operations for NASAs Deep Space Network (DSN). * Directed a 5-member engineering support team to provide mission-critical network operations support. * Spearheaded crucial data recovery effort for the Magellan Project successfully retrieving 99% of mapping data transmitted from the planet Venus. * Pioneered the complete revision of the multi-volume Network Operations Plan Manual, reducing it to a usable one-volume reference document. * Awarded NASAs highest civilian honor: the NASA Public Service Medal.
