EAVES Eaves can be subject to severe exposure conditions and should be continuously welted to resist uplift. Roof covering must remain securely welted to the weathering plate at maximum extension in high temperatures. Drawing references Weathering plate: Cover to roof slope: Projection: .. Not less than 100mm with anticapillary welt at top edge. 25mm for forming into drip welt. Fix to roof slope at 100mm. Fold MSPro 410 panels around weathering plate projection and single welt to form a drip in accordance with detail 01 of the MS Profiles Installation Guide.

RIDGE AND HIPS Ridges and Hips can be subject to severe exposure conditions and should be continuously welted to resist uplift. Drawing references Material Thickness Cover to roof slope: Fixing Zintek Pre-Weathered Grey 0.7mm Not less than 100mm welted to Met-Seam Z profile. Met-Seam Z profile fixed using Met-Seam stainless steel screws, bedded in Trans 7 sealant. Met-Seam Fluted Neoprene foam filler to be fixed behind Z profile Cappings can be subject to severe exposure conditions and should be continuously welted to resist uplift. Drawing references Base Underlay 18mm WBP plywood MET-SEAM Permo Sec underlay installed to manufacturers recommendations. All joints to be taped and sealed. Zintek Pre-Weathered Grey 0.7mm Capping should be welted on both edges to a zinc 0.7mm min. weather plate, Not less than 3 degree fall and free from panning to allow free water runoff. Min 15mm for forming drip on weather plate.

WORKMANSHIP GENERAL MSPro system to be installed to provide a secure, free draining and completely waterproof installation. Do not use scribers or other sharp instruments without approval. Leave panels free from ripples, kinks, buckling and cracks. Use hand tools only for folding detail as per installation instruction. Ensure that MSPro system is fully supported and securely fixed to resist wind uplift and able to accommodate thermal movement without distortion or stress. Ensure that finished work is protected against staining or discolouration by subsequent works. Operatives must be trained in the application of the MSPro system and submit records of their experience to the CA on request.

Tel: 028 3832 5757 Fax028 3832 5758 MSPro warranty must be applied in writing to Met-Seam Ltd, prior to the Roof or Cladding construction. 550 LIGHTNING PROTECTION Zinc coverings: Attach the following to a lightning protection system: As required. - Electrical continuity: Provide between zinc strips/ sheets via welting of joints. . 555 LAYOUT Agree setting out of longitudinal seam centres with the CA before beginning work. SUITABILITY OF BASES Bases must be dry and free of dust, debris, grease and other deleterious matter. Laying of MSPro system will be taken as joint acceptance by the Main Contractor and Subcontractor of the suitability of bases.

640 TIMBER FOR USE WITH MS PROFILE SYSTEM .. 650 UNDERLAY Handle carefully to prevent tears and punctures. Lay onto a dry base and fix edges. Keep underlay dry and cover with the MSPro system at the earliest opportunity. FIXING CLIPS The MSPro stainless steel clip, supplied by MET-SEAM is formed from Gauge 22, Grade 304 Stainless Steel. Each clip must be secured using MetSeam Stainless Steel screws to the roof structure by a minimum of two fixings per clip, each capable of resisting a pullout force of 0.2kN STANDING SEAM JOINT Factory pre-formed MSPro interlocking joint. With anti-capillary undercloak and 40mm interlocking overcloak.
