Randy Henry Explain what is meant in Acts 10:35 The words of Peter intent when speaking The book

of Acts, written by Luke, focuses on men and women who with great pride followed Jesus commission. One individual in particular is Peter. Peter is a main focus in the book of Acts from Chapters 1 to 12. In Acts 10:35, I think Peter was letting Cornelius know that regardless of what nation a person is from, whether they were Jews or Gentiles, if you fear God and live right you will have favor from God. In Acts 10:35, the scripture reads But in every nation whoever fears him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. I think Peter was assuring to Cornelius that if he preaches to the people of Caesarea the word of God, they can be saved. To me, Peter knew of Cornelius state, he knew how much Cornelius and his household was devout to God and doing good to people. Peters concern was for the entire nation of people, thats why he expressed his feelings to Cornelius by saying whoever. Peter didnt want any soul left out of the opportunity to hear and receive Gods words. I think Peter was also reassuring Cornelius that the fear he has for God was a good thing, Peter wanted Cornelius to spread the word to the Centurian people before it was too late. Cornelius was afraid of the vision which the angel revealed to him, and Peter wanted Cornelius to instill in his people that same fear for God, that they might too do good and be in favor of Gods peace.
