Installing the Game ============================================================ a.) Installing FIFA 10 Demo Windows (disc users): * Insert the disc into your disc drive and follow the on-screen instructions. * Once the game has installed you can launch it by locating the game through th e Start menu. * Games on Windows Vista are located in the Start > Games menu and on earlier v ersions of Windows in the Start > Programs (or All Programs) menu. Windows (EA Store users): * Once the game has been downloaded by EA Download Manager, click the install i con that appears and follow the on-screen instructions. * Launch the game (once it is installed) directly from the EA Download Manager. In Windows Vista Classic Start menu style, games are located in the Start > Prog rams > Games > Games Explorer menu. b.) Digital Retail Installation Users installing the FIFA 10 Demo through a standalone package, please consult t he website which provided the package for installation details. c.) If your "Autorun" feature is disabled If for some reason your "Autorun" feature is disabled, you can install the progr am by running AUTORUN.EXE directly from the root directory of the DVD. ============================================================ 3. DirectX 9.0c ============================================================ DirectX 9.0c will be installed as part of the EA SPORTS a.) Installing DirectX directly from DVD FIFA 10 Demo comes with DirectX 9.0c. If you would like to install it manually, make sure the FIFA 10 Demo DVD is in the DVD-ROM drive, and access the following path on your DVD-ROM drive: "\DirectX\" Double-click on DXSETUP.EXE to begin DirectX 9.0c installation. b.) DirectX and supported hardware FIFA 10 Demo installation.

We recommend that FIFA 10 Demo be run with DirectX 9.0c compatible sound cards an d video cards. We also suggest you update your sound card and video card driver to the newest r elease from the vendor or chipset website. ============================================================ 4. Uninstalling FIFA 10 Demo ============================================================ For Windows XP, you can uninstall FIFA 10 Demo by accessing "Add/Remove Programs " in the Control Panel. For Windows Vista, you can uninstall FIFA 10 Demo by accessing "Programs and Fea tures" in the Control Panel. ============================================================ 5. Memory Requirements ============================================================ a.) Memory requirements in Windows FIFA 10 Demo requires a minimum of 512 MB of RAM to run the game (1 GB required for Windows Vista). Note: The more system memory available, the better the game will perform in all areas. b.) While we have made every effort to ensure that FIFA 10 Demo multi-tasks with all applications for Windows, we recommend that you shut down other applications and run FIFA 10 Demo Demo by itself when possible. c.) Mouse, Keyboard and Controller Functionality ============================================================ You can use the mouse, keyboard or controller to navigate the game interface. Once you are on the Side select screen, you must move whichever input device you plan to use in the game to the left or the right to select your team. Please note that you may have to recalibrate your controllers in Windows in orde r to have the game detect them correctly. To bring up the in-game pause menus, you can press the Start button (if your gam epad has one) or press ESC. You can re-map your controls to customise your game experience from the Controls screen in My FIFA 10 Demo. Please note that when using digital only gamepads you should not change the Move Player etting to Analog as this could cause undesirable effects in gameplay. **NOTE: Older keyboard models may not allow for more than 2 buttons to be presse d at the same time. This may limit your ability to control players and actions in FIFA 10 De mo. **NOTE: Controllers without analog sticks do not allow for full functionality wi thin the title. **NOTE: Users using the Saitek P2600 Rumble Pad may notice gameplay issues when using the latest driver. Notes on Video Card Chipsets ============================================================ If you are experiencing problems with your video card and FIFA 10 Demo, try upda

ting your video card driver by downloading the latest driver available from the video card manufacturer. If there is no improvement, try using the latest driver provided by the video chipset manufacturer. Your vid eo card chipset is the video-processing chip located on your video card. If there is no information in your video card manual or website, check the video card for an identifying chip with the chipset manufa cturer's name on it. ============================================================ 10. Notes on Windows ============================================================ FIFA 10 Demo supports Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista. *NOTE - To install the game properly on Windows XP SP2/Windows Vista, you will n eed administrator access to your machine. Troubleshooting USB Devices ============================================================ Gamers using USB devices may experience uncontrolled menu selections upon playin g FIFA 10 Demo. To resolve this issue, please ensure that all USB devices (including those not required to play FIFA 10 Demo) plugged into the computer have been correctly installed using the drivers provided by the manufac turer. If proper drivers are not provided by the manufacturer, you may choose to disabl e any of these devices using the Device Manager in your Windows operating system. To open Device Manager, cli ck Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click on the System icon. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. For information about using Device Manager, on the Action menu in Device Manager, cl ick Help.
