Guess who
Show picture little by little, show the face at the end. Elicit related vocabulary. What can you see? Is it a he or a she? Where is he? Whats his name? When ss guess, ask them what they know about the person. Give a text to each student. Monitor. Write words that ss find difficult on the board. Get ss to say if sentences on exercise 1 from the worksheet are true or false. Ss compare their answers in pairs and make changes to the sentences to make them all true. Write the correct sentences on the board.
Introducing others
To identify personal Lockstep details in order to Individual work complete a gapped text. 15 min.
Ask ss if any member of their family has a similar occupation. Elicit other occupations.

Tell ss they are going to listen to 3 people talking. Ask them to say which occupations are mentioned. Ss listen again and complete the gaps on the worksheet. Ask ss Whos a bilingual secretary? and Whos a tourism student? and write on the board: Laura is a bilingual secretary Aldo is a tourism student Get ss in pairs to analyse what they notice about a/an in these sentences and in those from the reading. Ask When do we use a/an? Elicit answers and clarify. Get ss in pairs. Ask them to think of a famous person and write 5 sentences, similar to the ones in the previous exercise. Join two pairs and have them to ask each other Yes/No questions in order to guess who the other pair wrote about. If they have taken 10 rounds and have not guessed yet, the opposite pair reads their sentences aloud and if they do not get the correct answer, then they provide it. Ask ss to use the sentences they have written to create a short paragraph. Ask them to pay attention to punctuation and capitalization.
Reflection
To notice the relation between indefinite articles (a, an) and nouns beginning with consonant and vowel sounds. To practice giving personal details.
