TODAY Welcome! Today, Pastor Steve begins a new sermon series called The Miracle of Christmas. We will also celebrate the Lords Supper in the evening service. Wine is placed in the center and middle of the tray and grape juice on the outside ring. Our benevolent offering will be designated for our Cedar Deacons Fund. 11:00 AM Christmas Luncheon & Music Program 4:00 PM Choir Practice 5:30 PM Evening Service THIS WEEK Wednesday Midweek Ministries @ 7 PM HCS (nursery provided) Thursday LOVE Inc Bible Study @ 7 PM Hillcrest CRC ANNOUNCEMENTS Winter Youth Retreat Mark your calendar! The 2012 OPC Winter Youth Retreat all-nighter will be held at the downtown YMCA in Grand Rapids on January 27-28 for 7th-12th grade students and interested parents. The YMCA facility includes many amenities, including two swimming pools, a water slide, two climbing walls, two full basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts and other exercise equipment. The cost of the retreat will be $30. The Presbytery Youth Committee will be sending out brochures soon. Hope to see you there! Holiday Schedule Due to the holiday season, there will be no Sunday School classes on December 25th or January 1st. Wednesday night ministries conclude on December 14th for the holidays. Severe Weather Policy - In the event of a winter storm, the session will contact the congregation by phone if the service is cancelled. You can also check WoodTV8 for any church cancellations. ANNOUNCEMENTS Christmas Adopters Needed - Love INC still needs more individuals or small groups to adopt individuals or families for Christmas. Please consider how you might bless those facing difficult times by providing a Christmas dinner basket and/or gifts at Christmas. please contact Karla at karlav@loveinthenameofchrist.org or 616-662-3300 ext 130 for more information. Foster Home Needed - for an engaging early adolescent boy. It is best that he be the youngest child for a foster family. If interested, please contact Betty at 616-786-4138. Ongoing Ministry for Depression - The Depression Support Group meets on the third Monday of each month from 7-8 PM in the educational wing at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th Street, Jenison. This group is open to anyone in our community who struggles with depression or has a loved one who is depressed. You are invited to attend this safe and confidential group experience. No registration is necessary. The group will meet on Monday, December 19. For more information contact the church office at 662-0368. New OPC Church Planting Website - The OPC Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension recently launched its new website called www.CHMCE.org. The site is colorful and upbeat and contains the most current information about OPC church planters, with the goal of enabling you to pray more intelligently.

If you need any assistance, please ask one of our greeters for help. SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE Cedar Church strives to enjoy God through Spirit-empowered and Christ-centered worship. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service. COFFEE BREAK After the morning worship, please join us in the foyer for coffee and refreshments. KIDS BREAK After morning worship, all kids (pre-school thru 6th grade) are invited to remain in the gymnasium for snacks and fun songs with Mr. & Mrs. Himebook. SUNDAY SCHOOL - From 11 AM-12 PM, Cedar Church offers classes for all ages. Visitors are especially welcome to join us!
