AN ASSESSMENT OF THE INTERNSHIP What skills and qualifications you think that you have gained from the

internship? I gained a brief knowledge about how the events and promotions goes on, starting from the concept designing till the execution and how to ensure the flow of money from the clients. Sometimes i was completely and solely in charge of my activities that helped me a lot to build the confidence and leadership skills in my attitude. Have enhanced my skills in designing the concepts and the sequences for the activities and above all, got to know the importance of even a single second in my corporate tenure. I presume myself to be more qualified after completing my internship in terms of experience i have gained, in terms of exposure i have gone through. In my initial 5 weeks i was serving to the operations team and the knowledge from preparing a cost sheet to the setup installation, the times when you have to take the quick decisions really inspired me to take my skills and qualifications to the next higher level. What kind of responsibilities you have undertaken during the internship period? Initially I was responsible to assist my senior in designing and preparation of the setup and to the installation of it at the venue specified. Then after, have to arrange all the required machines and products by coordinating with the concerned people and to look after the manpower for the smooth execution and to update my senior with the flow of the activity. Have to mail weekly the power point presentation to the senior officer to make them know about the activity going on. Later on, I was assigned with different responsibilities of conceptualising the event. I have designed the concept for the award ceremony at one of their event. Drawn a complete promotional RWA activity for VIVA Pharmacy. Have also drawn up the stage performances and different activites for the IT Conference to be held in Delhi, Bombay and Bengaluru. How do you think the internship will influence your future career plans? This internship has promoted in me the qualities of handling the operations solely, proving my creativity in designing the concept, serving the clients well on time, to get the in-depth knowledge of the internal working of the big event company like Cigma is, the methods and techniques of costing and economical operations. And most importantly, how to operate the work from one point to the different locations within or outside the country. The above combination will surely help me to work in the events, PR or advertising agencies.

How do you think the internship activities that you carried out are correlated with your classroom knowledge Subjects like Brand & Sales Management has helped me a lot to show my creativeness and to understand the brand image of the brands i have worked upon. Also, Executive Communication and Human Resource Management has helped me in a way to understand the work culture of the organization and how to get accustomed to it, how to speak, how to behave in an organization and to present ourselves.
