Bradul de Craciun

Bradul de Craciun, ca pom ce trebuie imbodobit inainte de Nasterea Domnului, a fost ales datorita faptului ca el ramane tot timpul verde. Il simbolizeaza pe Hristos, vesnic viu. Obiceiul folosirii bradului de Craciun este de origine romana. Amintim ca in timpul sarbatorilor, romanii antici isi impodobeau locuintele cu un brad. Interesant este ca bradul era prins de tavan cu varful in jos. Potrivit cercetatorilor, pana in secolul al XII lea, brazii de Craciun nu erau impodobiti. Cu timpul, bradul de Craciun a fost impodobit cu fructe, flori de hartie, biscuiti, ca mai tarziu, sa se orneze cu lumanari si globuri colorate.
