Upon completion of this course, an attendee will be able to: Apply into practice the advances in therapeutic management of transplant donors and recipients; Improve patient communication regarding allocation policies and their impact on access to transplants; Improve competence in managing the immunological challenges involved in organ transplantation; Improve competence in the prevention and management of infectious disease complications following organ transplantation; Apply new strategies to manage the long- term complications associated with immunosuppressive therapy; Improve current strategies to increase access to transplantation; and Foster greater levels of compliance with the regulatory issues impacting solid organ transplant.
