Haven and the Heavens Song

Rev 5:9-10 You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain and with your blood you purchased men for god, from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priest and they will reign on the earth.

BODY

ASPECTS OF THE HEAVENS SONG A. Heavens song will be about the Redeemer (v. 9) 1. The seven sealed book is in the hand of God v. 1 Then I saw in the right of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

a) A search is made for one who was worthy to open the book vv. 2-4 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, Who is worthy to brake the seals and open the scroll? But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside. b) No man on earth or in heaven was found worthy John the beloved wept because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it.

This justifies/proves that only the Redeemer is worthy to open the book.

2. The One who is worthy is revealed vv. 5-8 Then one of the elders said to me, Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals! a) He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah: Jesus Gen 49:9 You are a lions cub, O Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness who dares to rouse him? Heb 7:14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. Rom 15:12 And again, Isaiah says, The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the gentiles will hope in him. b) He is the Root of David: Jesus c) He is the Lamb that had been slain: Jesus Jn 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

3. Our song in heaven will be about the worthy One: Jesus. B. Heavens Song will be about redemption (v. 9) 1. Jesus shed His blood to redeem us.

2. Jesus went through a very shameful death: hanged on the cross for our sins.

3. Jesus cleanse us from all filthiness and unrighteousness.

4. Jesus made us pure and holy. John the Baptist wrote the first of heavens song: Jn 1:29 Behold the Lamb of God which take away the sins of the world.

C. Heavens Song will be about reigning with the redeemer 1. We shall reign on earth. Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

2.

The privileged to reign with Christ a) They are but sinners saved by grace through faith Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith it is by grace you have been saved.

b) They have been transformed by the power of Christ 2 Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

3. Gods love has made lost ones into kings and priest of God. a) Gods people who have been tortured and murdered in the time past and the believers who are being persecuted shall have fabulous future.

b) We will reign with our conquering Christ in His coming Kingdom Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
