To evaluate and cater to the emerging needs of Indian Industries in the backdrop of the ongoing modernization and globalization of the Indian economy. To promote Indian Security agencies, both governmental and private also exposure to available agencies from developed and developing countries.

Security systems have become an integral part virtually of every facet of life. Aviation security, cyber security and disaster management along with fire protection and prevention in industrial and public place have also assumed increasing relevance. With changes in the trend and character of crime besides its elements of growing sophistication, it becomes imperative that counter measures be reviewed and upgraded from time to time. Another factor that warrants this periodic review is the fast changing security technology scenario and modus operandi of perpetrators of crime. On account of post 09/11 and 26/11, there is a paradigm shift in the Security Scenario. Internal security is assuming great importance and is a major concern for all countries. Police modernisation is a priority today. The demand for security equipment has gone up manifolds in recent times and it is estimated that India will be investing Rs.550 billion in the private security industry by 2016. No wonder India today is the worlds largest importer of security and defence equipment. Commensurate to the increasing threat perceptions and the need to tackle it effectively through a continuous process of modernisation and technology up-gradation, ITPO will be organising the 14th India International Security Expo in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from October 12-15, 2011. India International Security Expo is amongst the nations largest exhibition of goods, products and services related to homeland security, disaster management, fire safety, law enforcements, industrial safety etc. It offers excellent business opportunities in the areas of security, surveillance, protection, public safety and combatant protection related products for manufacturers, exporters / importers, technologists and trade visitors. The fair also aims at facilitating transfer of technology, joint ventures, professional trade and business interactions. India has acknowledged expertise in the field of information and communication technology. This is now at the heart of all security related equipment and services and India can provide customised software solutions for all needs. Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India is sponsoring and supporting the India International Security Expo. The show is also supported by the Central Para Military Forces, other security organisations and State Police Organisations.
