Qs tend to use O & E rather than discuss nowadays. However discuss in an AO1 and AO2 term combined, so dont be surprised if it crops up.
Questions tend to focus on research unless they are theory questions. However you may get a question that focuses on the effects of something rather than research into it. E.g. privation, disruption of attachment essay can be approached in much the same way, just make sure you are answering the question Discuss the effects of privation describe victims of privation, can the effects be overcome or not? Discuss research into privation - describe victims of privation, consider the value of the evidence e.g. is it a case study

Discuss the implications of research into attachment and day care for childcare practices. For this one state the findings, then discuss whether or not they have had and effect. E.g. Bowlbys/Robertsons did have an effect on hospital admissions.
