Navigation - Section 4.2 -----------------------Section 4.2 (the blue pages) contains shipping information, in database format, on an extensive list of articles and substances with hazardous properties . Clicking on a column header will sort that column's content alphanumerically. Clicking a column header will toggle between ascending and descending alphanumer

ic sorting. Clicking the 'Reset Sort Order' button will restore Section 4.2 content to its d efault state of alphanumeric listing by 'Proper Shipping Name/Description'. Double-clicking an entry (any column) in Section 4.2 will generate an 'Entry Rep ort' for the article or substance. Finding Information ------------------The Dangerous Goods Regulations 47th Edition application makes use of several me thods to search for information. It may be necessary to combine more than one fu nction to locate the content one is interested in. Within the Manual and Packing areas, a 'Search' button is available along with t he 'Contents' and 'Index'. Use this search function to locate information across sections in these product areas. Type in the term you wish to search for and cl ick the 'List Topics' button. All the sections where the term has been found wil l be listed. Choose from the list and click the 'Display' button. The main appli cation window content will jump to the selected section. Once there, either scro ll down the page to locate the highlighted term, or use the 'Tools' pop-out func tion box to 'Find' the term on the page. Within the Manual and Packing areas, a 'Find' [on this page] function is availab le on the 'Tools' pop-out function box. This function differs from the 'Search' feature at the left side of the interface in that it searches for words in the a ctive section only. Use 'Find' to quickly locate desired content when you wish t o limit your search to a specific section. Type in a term in the 'Find' field an d click the 'Find' button. When multiple results are generated, click the 'Find' button again to scroll through those results. Within Section 4.2, search for the hazardous article or substance of interest wi th the 'Search' toolbar towards the top of the application interface. To perform a search for a term within the entire content of Section 4.2, select "All Colum ns" in the 'Search Within' drop-down list, type the term in the 'Enter Search Te rm:' field and click 'Search'. To restrict the search to a particular column, select that column in the 'Search Within' drop-down list, type the term in the 'Enter Search Term:' field and cli ck 'Search'. When a search yields multiple results, clicking the 'Search' button again will s croll through those results.

Printing Information -------------------Within the Manual and Packing areas, access the 'Print' function by clicking on the 'Tools' pop-out function box located towards the top left of the main applic ation window. To print specific content in a section, highlight the desired area by dragging t he mouse cursor over it. Open the 'Tools' box and click the 'Print' icon. Once t he Windows print dialogue box opens, select 'Selection' in the 'Print Range area' . PRODUCT SUPPORT --------------Known Issues -----------Windows large font support The "large font" setting available under Windows operating system display propert ies is only partially supported by this IATA product. While main product content will generally display and operate correctly, some visual anomalies resulting f rom the large font setting may impair or prevent the convenient use of the produ ct. Notably, the Find/Print function toolbox menu, accessed from within the Manu al and Packaging areas, will most often not operate correctly, or may be entirel y unusable. For best results, the Dangerous Goods Regulations application should be used wit h only normal sized system fonts enabled. Visual issues in Table of Contents (TOC) window area Within the Manual and Packaging areas of the Dangerous Goods Regulations applica tion, some users may experience display refresh issues in the Contents/Index/Sea rch/Favorites window area. The result is usually a gray coloured rectangle cover ing a portion of the TOC, rendering the TOC entry illegible. Moving the mouse cu rsor quickly over the TOC entries will tend to increase the number of gray recta ngles displayed. While using the DGR application, to refresh TOC entries (remove the gray coloure d rectangles), move the mouse cursor slowly over the TOC entries affected. Addit ionally, ensuring that the most recent display driver available for your video c ard is installed may help correct or reduce the occurrence of the issue.
