The Call of Loving God Church

Our call is to be a member of the House Hold of Faith - a community of restored believers of Christ, which comes together in weekly worship rooted in the biblical faith, with shared leadership, and disperses with a common commitment to understand and implement Christian servanthood in the structures in which we live our lives. By LGC Family we mean a family of the loving God which sees Christ as our true life source. Koinonia with one another and genuine self giving to the world are the ways we can be in Christ today. By shared leadership we mean empowering the gifts of women and men to help our worship flow out of and feed into the life of the community. For us, Christian Servanthood is based on empowering others within the normal structures of our daily lives ( work, family, and primary relationship; and citizenship) as well as special structures for service and witness. In LGC, we will equip and support each other and all of these areas and seek a balance among them. The LGC Family sees itself called into Christs ministry of deliverance from bondage to freedom in every personal and corporate expression. We recognize the value of each individual and seek to heal any wounds of discrimination inflicted by our society and the church. LGC is committed to participation by persons of all ages. We see, children, youth and adults as valuable and value parts of our community, and desire their inclusion in our care, our ministry, and our life together.

Authority within the Loving God Church

There are at least seven ways to think about authority in the Loving God Church: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. The Fatherhood of God, the Supreme authority The Centrality of our Lord Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit as our director to attain spiritual growth. The Holy Bible as our Manual of Faith. Gods call on us, as individuals or groups The role of the Spiritual Leadership in the Church. The functional authority of individual membership of the Church.

based in the Philippines. We give priority attention to discerning and following Gods call on us as individual or as a community, and to developing and offering our gifts in service to others. Authority in LGC also derives from the Biblical tradition. We are strongly attached to the teaching of the apostles and the prophets whose cornerstone of faith is none other that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation. (Eph. 2:2022)

Membership Discipline
Individual members of LGC Family are called to becoming steward. The commitment to membership as a steward is an ordination to ministry that carries a commitment to support the faith journey of the community. As steward of Gods bountiful blessings, LGC members should learn how to use their time, talent and financial resources to glorify God in all aspect of life. We are called as steward of God. Some are primarily called as a servant leaders for the community and live out that call through membership as a steward. For others, the call to serve as a steward grows out of the search for a deeper sense of belonging to community and more accountability for the individual spiritual journey. Our stewards embraced common disciplines which express that love and which are necessary for personal growth in Christ and for the building of the faith community. The common disciplines are: 1. Attending Sunday Worship, usually with the Loving God Church Family. 2. Observing daily-quiet time, prayer, Scripture reading, and reflections or journaling. 3. Giving proportionately of income (Equality Giving-2 Cor. 8:14-15) to support the ministry of the Loving God Church and its mission to the world. 4. Making a retreat once a year, if possible with the Loving God Church or with other Christian family of the same faith and calling. 5. Participating in an ongoing mission, or support group to advance Gods kingdom on earth, to build the church and to be accountable in spiritual growth. Being accountable for the spiritual journey with other members of the church. 6. Attending Kawan Care Group Meeting and prayer Cell Meeting once a week and other gatherings such as Midweek Service and Intercessory Prayer. 7. Expressing commitment to discovery and use of gifts, to education and growth in the faith and to the care and support of the community as a whole, bearing the burden of one another, love one another, help one another, lifting up one another, edifying one another, serve one another, imitating our Lord Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith.

Commitment to Mission
LGC is committed to mission through the giving of time, talent and financial resources. Our commitment to mission is lived out in the ways we allocate our gift of time and resources to the community and the wider world. In the annual budget, proportions from the gifts received from our offerings are given to help those in need who are outside our community. The Steward committed to this particular ministry is the Social Welfare & Ethics Division of the Loving God Church. We do this through contributions to mission sponsored by the Loving God church and Antioch Mission and Partners, to assist the Evangelism, Outreach and Mission Division. The commitment to mission giving is the desire to be a part of soul winning team in obedience to the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8) Participation in a mission is a balance of giving and receiving. In doing that, they receive support of affirmation for their unfolding lives as a Christians. This giving and receiving is more than a matter of commitment to the spiritual disciplines.

Budget and Spending

Since the LGC came into being in 2003, several policies have been developed by the Administration, Finance and Property Division to guide us as we determine how the budget will be spent. Each year, recommendations for the budget are developed by the Ministerial Elders, based on information gathered from the community and the calendar year of activities proposed by the Senior Pastor.
