WTVI-TV (PBS Affiliate), Charlotte, NC March 2011 September 2011 Media Sales and Underwriting Manager Publicly-funded TV station in Charlotte. Recruited by the newly hired Director of Development to revitalize advertising sales and generate new revenues and underwriting sponsorships. Developed new media kits; sponsorships and branding partnerships; and worked with the Director of Development to appropriately market sponsorship opportunities. Worked with the CEO on revenue development projects and negotiating new rating services. Successfully secured new client accounts: Jerald Melberg Gallery (local art gallery); Cricket Communications (national cellular company); Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation (nonprofit organization); High Museum of Art (in Atlanta) and Levine Childrens Hospital. Closed over $60,000 in new business (with $20,000 of pipeline) in six months. Coordinated efforts with membership services, creative services, IT/Web, traffic department and senior management. WBTV-TV (CBS Affiliate), Charlotte, NC 1991 2001 TV station owned by Jefferson Pilot and subsequently sold to Raycom Media. Research Director/Coordinator, 2000 to 2001 Oversaw all research-related functions, including interpreting research data from Nielsen, Scarborough, and other sales tools. Account Executive, 1991 to 2000 Developed media sales and multi-platform ad campaigns across WBTV and WBTV.com. Served as liaison within sales, IT and research departments.
