Now, there are many organizations that move in academic and social.

One of them is American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). AAPG is an organization in level of university that works in geology, and the member also is a student o f geology or geophysics department. Since in Indonesia only have a few universit y that have geology or geophysics department, so it means there are only some un iversity that can have AAPG student chapter. One of the university that has it i s Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) Makassar. In UNHAS, there is geology and geophysics department, so the students can make A APG student chapter. Everything about stone can be studied in AAPG student chapt er. One of study about is carbonat stone. Sulawesi Selatan has so many kind of geology site, for example karst. In Sulawe si Selatan, we can see some landscape of karst that spread out for almost throug hout Sulawesi Selatan. In geology science, karst is one of an important object f or carbonat stone that must be observed, so, it is a good opportunity for AAPG U NHAS student chapter to implement a field trip carbonat in Sulawesi Selatan. 2. Purposes

This activity is planned and organized to gain some purposes as follow : 1. Introduce the basic study of carbonat stone to students of geology. 2. Directly show the exposure of carbonat stone. 3. Improve some knowledge about source, process, and formation of carbonat stone. 4. Reveal the advantages and a shortage of using carbonat stone. 5. Show potential of caronat stone in Sulawesi Selatan. 6. Make a good relationship between university in Indonesia 7. Have more experience in observing carbonat stone. 3.
