The invitation letter for 18th Forum of Burmese in Europe to hold in Utrecht (The Netherlands)

Burmese Democratic Community (The Netherlands) BDC (NL) and National League for Democracy Liberated Area (The Netherlands) NLD LA (NL) will host 18th Forum of Burmese in Europe (FBE) in Utrecht, Netherlands. The overall political situation in Burma doesnt reflect that the reform military government led by U Thein Seins 2008 constitution will bring democracy for the people of Burma. At the same time, the ethnic leaders and 88 generation leaders, who sacrifice their lives for freedom and democracy in Burma, are still in the prisons. Even though some efforts for democratic reform are taken in place, the current administration has made no substantial political change. As a matter of fact, the government hinting democracy in Burma is obviously waging civil war against the ethnic minorities by violating the international standard Human Rights especially in the Kachin ethnic areas. Therefore, we would like to invite all the organizations, activists and the democracy lovers of Burma overseas to attend the forum and to express their wisdom, opinion and critic how we should carry on our duty to restore freedom and democracy in Burma. Date: January 28 and 29, 2012 (on Saturday and Sunday) Time: 10am to 4:30pm Venue: Kargradoor, Oudergracht 36, 3511 AP, Utrecht, (The Netherlands) (The location is about (15) minutes to walk from Utrecht Centraal.) Among the participants, we will provide foods and accommodations for 30 people, and the rest of them will pay only (19) euro/night as we have already arranged. We will invite maximum 5 persons/country or 2 persons from each organization. Due to the limited timeframe, we would like to ask the representatives of each organization to send their agenda and the time that they will discuss in the forum no later than December 31, 2011. All the representatives must be arrived on January 27, 2012 at Schiphol International Airport or Utrecht Centraal station in the Netherlands. The FBEs organizational structure, policy guidelines, view on current political situations in Burma and the implementation of its further tasks and activities in the EU will be widely discussed in Burmese language so that all the representatives can understand very well.
