Project M4-4664 Thu Dau Mot, Vietnam Clari-Trac CT2 Dual Control Panel submittal
Attached is the submittal for the Leopold Clari-Trac CT2 sludge removal system. The Leopold CT2 Control Panel has been installed in hundreds of municipal water and wastewater treatment plants worldwide. It is easy to use and utilizes proven off-the-shelf components. The Leopold CT2 Control Panel is a NEMA 4X (IP65) type 304 stainless steel enclosure by Hoffman with all necessary components to control the sludge removal equipment in the manual or fully automatic mode. The enclosure size is 36 x 36 x 12 with a 24 floor stand kit. It is a PLC based system with manual backup independent of the PLC. A Modicon 984 Compact PLC model 258 is being provided for automatic control of the clarification process. The processor has no network capabilities. In addition, an operator interface panel model MT200 by Panel Tec for operator adjustable setpoint changes is being provided. A 1/4 HP DC SCR by KB Electronics is being used to move the solids collector at a rate of 0.5 to12 feet per minute. Control relays are plug in type 8501 by Square D. Push buttons, hand switches and pilot lights are type ZB4 by Telemecanique. The control panel is also equipped with the capability to remotely start the system, as well as dry contacts for status. Contacts include forward, reverse, running, alarm and sludge valve control. The Leopold CT2 Dual Control Panel requires 120 VAC, 1ph, 50 HZ, 40 amp service. Notes/Clarifications: Please note the CT2 system requires 1 (one) sludge valve per tank (4 total) with an electric motor actuator supplied by others. The actuator requires isolated (dry-voltage free) normally closed limit switches as shown on Leopold drawing 4664.99.14.03 lines 111/112 & 131/132.

The Compact HDTA series backplanes are designed so that they mount easily on a DIN rail. The DIN rail serves as the system ground. Three different backplanes are available, with or without conformal coating. [The conformal coating is applied over the backplane board, and protects the electronic components against harsh environmental conditions.] Suitable backplanes with different capacities are available for each stage of expansion. The primary backplane can accept one CPU and up to three I/O modules. The secondary backplanes offer additional support for two or five modules. Up to three backplanes can be connected in series to the primary backplane. The built-in parallel backplane bus connects each slot of a backplane to the data bus and the 5 V supply. The backplanes can be mounted in either a stacked on linear fashion, as the application warrants. There is a maximum local expansion of 18 I/O module slots plus the slot for the CPU. The data bus and 5V supply can be passed to the other backplanes in the system using the WBXT-201 extension cable. An access cover is supplied with every backplane to protect the front of the modules. Transparent holders provide space for user-defined labels.

The Compact Automation Platform central processing units (CPUs) use flash memory for the operating system and command set storage. This nonvolatile memory provides cost and time saving upgrades on site: instead of replacing EEPROMs or memory assemblies, only one file needs to be loaded into the CPU to upgrade data. For both decentralized data transfer and programming, every CPU is equipped with at least two Modbus interfaces. The larger CPUs also have one Modbus Plus interface. The bus interfaces are easily accessible at the module's front panel. Two rotary switches are located on the front for models with Modbus Plus. These switches are used to set the addresses of the Modbus interfaces. The CPU stores the application program in battery-backed RAM. The battery is located on the front of the module and can be replaced without loss of data during operation. Storing the user program in flash ROM secures data even during operation without a battery. Two slide switches provide simplified user control of key functions. The memory protection switch prevents programming devices or other input devices from overwriting the user program. The Modbus interface switch sets the Modbus data transfer parameters as either ASCII, RTU, or any other protocol that can be set manually. A slot for PCMCIA cards - available in the 275 and 285 series CPUs - provide another programming interface or memory expansion possibility. Every CPU has a real-time clock that provides both the date and the time. The 258, 265, 275, and 285 controllers provide an input for synchronizing the clock with the Global Positioning System (GPS). The 258C/R central processing units correspond to Railroad Standard EN 50 155. They have an expanded temperature range, flash ROM for the user program on the CPU (no battery required), and yellow LEDs. All controllers are available with protective conformal coating on the electronic components.

General
The Compact Platform's discrete I/O modules consist of input modules, output modules, and combined input/output modules. LEDs provide at a glance the operating state of the module and the status of the inputs and outputs. The physical organization of the LEDs allows quick diagnostics of all corresponding modules. The Compact I/O modules are entirely software configurable. Any module can be configured in any slot. All configuration parameters for each individual I/O module appear on the configuration screen of the I/O configuration list. Once configured, the software program detects missing or defective modules and sends the appropriate signal to the CPU. Both electrically isolated and non-isolated modules are available. Peripherals are connected by means of a screw terminal strip. The screw terminal strip can be removed for installation and, as an option, protected against incorrect connections. The alternating voltage range of the I/O modules extends from 24 VAC to 250 VAC. All alternating voltage modules operate reliably at least in the frequency range from 47 to 63 Hz (sinusoidal with <5% harmonic content). The direct voltage range extends from 5 VDC input and output modules for TTL and CMOS to 10 60 VDC and 24 154 VDC for relay output modules. The Compact platform uses the following type designations: i DEP - digital input modules, electrically isolated i DAP - digital output modules, electrically isolated i DEO / DAO - digital input / output modules without electrical isolation. Modules with the type designation AS-B-xxx-25x have an expanded temperature range and are suitable for railroad applications. Electronic components with conformal coating are identified with the suffix C in the type designation.

DESCRIPTION
The KBPB cycler control is designed to provide antiplug instant reversing, solid state dynamic braking and rapid cycling. It combines all of the features of the KBMM speed control with the features of the KB APRM*. Contact arcing is eliminated since the APRM allows armature switching to take place only when current levels are near zero. The KBPB contains a built-in barrier terminal block and its compact size makes the control ideal for installation where space is at a premium. All models are equipped with KBs exclusive Plug-in Horsepower Resistor. It eliminates the need for recalibrating IR Comp and Current Limit when the control is used on various horsepower motors. The basic ratings of the controls are enhanced with the addition of KBs Auxiliary Heatsink. The controls also contain Inhibit, which allows for electronic switching of the armature voltage, and Auto Inhibit, which provides rapid, safe switching of the AC line. The controls can be used to drive all PM and Shunt Wound DC motors from 0-full speed by three separate methods: a 5K remote speed pot, an auxiliary speed pot (S4 terminal), or voltage following. If the control is to be operated in a voltage following mode, an isolated analog signal (0-9VDC) is applied to the input terminals P2 (+) and F (-). Adjustment trimpots are provided for MIN, MAX, IR COMP, CL, ACCEL and DECEL.

a These maximum current values assume the use of insulated copper conductors with 75C temperature rating, and are calculated based on NEC Article 310, Table 310-16. In most cases this value is the maximum ampacity of that wire or combination of wires (as listed in the above table) which has the greatest current carrying capacity. The actual allowable current for a particular application is dependent upon the number, size, insulation class and other characteristics of the wires used. b Replacement adapter is 9080GH64, $1.10 each, standard pack of 10. Table AInrush Ratio Correction Table Selection: In order to properly select a Class 9080 Type GCB circuit protector, follow Note: For resistive loads, use inrush correction factor of 1.0. the following steps: Inrush Ratio 1:1 to 1:4 1:5 1:6 1:7 1:8 1. Determine the inrush correction factor from Table A at right. 2. Determine the temperature correction factor from Table B at right. Factor 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 3. Determine the sealed current of the load that is being protected. 4. Multiply the sealed current by the two correction factors and choose the closest circuit protector. Note: Choosing a circuit protector with a value lower than the calculated value might cause nuisance tripping, while Table BAmbient Temperature Correction Table choosing the larger might provide a protector that will not properly Ambient 70F 100F 120F 140F 160F 180F 200F protect the load. TERMINAL BLOCKS
Electric Heaters
Construction Installation
CAUTION
These electric heaters are not designed for use in dusty, dirty, corrosive, or hazardous locations. Portions of the heater can get hot. Adequate protection must be taken to protect people from potential burns, and to protect other components from this heat. This heater can only be installed in a totally enclosed metal enclosure. Hoffman electric heaters should be centered as low as possible on an interior enclosure panel. This permits the unit to heat the cool air located at the bottom of the enclosure. For maximum efficiency and longevity, the heater should be mounted in a vertical position with the terminal block to the bottom and the air outlet openings at the top in a sealed enclosure free from dust or debris. However, the unit will also effectively distribute heat if turned 90 degrees with the terminal block out the bottom and the air outlet at the side. Although enclosure panels are preferable, heaters may be installed on any flat sheet metal surface. Do not install heaters on wood panels. Heat sensitive components should not be placed near the heater discharge area since this air can be quite warm. The clearance range defines the space that must be kept free of these components for proper and safe operation of the heater.
enclosure and passes this air across the thermostat and heating elements before being released into enclosure cavity Heated air is discharged through the top of the heater unit Four 10-32 x self-tapping screws are included with each heater Ball bearing fan runs continuously for even temperature distribution Terminal strip with clamp connector that accepts both solid and stranded wire
Finish Application
Designed to protect sensitive mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment from the harmful effects of condensation, corrosion, and low temperatures.Thermostatically controlled fan-driven heater units maintain a stable temperature within enclosures so critical components can perform more reliably over a longer period of time. Anodized aluminum.
