Advent Charity: Many thanks to all who participated in the Angel-Giving Tree, the Toys for Tots drive and the Signature Health Care resident gift program and for your generosity. Christmas Donations: Your box of Stewardship Envelopes has three envelopes for Christmas: the regular Sunday offering; the second for the annual Catholic Charities Christmas Collection; and the third for any Special donation you would like to go to the Parish. Please make sure your intentions are followed by using the correct envelope. Parish Stewardship Envelopes: Please pick up your box of 2012 envelopes in the back of church on tables on each side contact Diane Black if you do not see one for you. Note of Thanks: We want to thank our church decorators, musicians, liturgical ministers and our parish office staff for their gifts of time, talent and treasure which enabled us to celebrate Christmas joyfully and spiritually. We also wish to thank our pastor, Fr. Paul, Fr. Wayne Murphy and Deacon Gerry for their ministry to our parish and our members. Parish Council: On Sunday, December 18th, these parishioners were selected in a blind draw to serve on the Parish Council: Cindy Hayes, Carmen Rendon and Barbara Yates. We appreciate their willingness to serve, and we thank all who were nominated and agreed to participate in the selection process. Many blessings to all Council members. Religious Education for Children: We will observe our Christmas Break on December 25th and January 1st, and return on January 8th to celebrate Epiphany with a Family Session, to which all are invited. We want to thank our volunteer Catechists who so faithfully minister to our youngest members and to our Parish. Contact Diane Black with questions. We are grateful to those who made this possible, and suggest that you consider making a donation to this worthy cause if you have not yet done so gifts can be made online, or by using the envelopes in the back of church. Judicial Vicar: Archbishop Joseph Kurtz has appointed Fr. Paul Beach as Judicial Vicar and Director of the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Louisville while continuing as pastor of St. Francis Xavier and All Saints Parish. The appointment is effective January 1, 2012, and will be for a period of five years. Fr. Paul has written an article for our monthly newsletter which explains the position and his responsibilities, which will be published next weekend. Please keep him in your prayers as he begins this new assignment while continuing his pastoral duties. Take-Home Devotional Material and 2012 Religious Calendars: We provide weekly hand-outs for both children and families for the Christmas Season we encourage you to spiritually celebrate this blessed season.
