Born and brought in Kolkata, life has been through tough surface so far with challenges, some disappointments and some achievements. I take pleasure in saying that I have had the exposure of the corporate right af ter my Plus II. Work experience of over 3 years in B.P.O has added immense knowl edge related to team handling skills, overcoming stress and taking up pressure f rom all directions. Started from the entry level proved performance and transcen ded to the level of a Team leader. Till now it s been a great working experience a ltogether. My work experience has given me enough exposure to identify my strengths which i nclude but not limited to, being a good coordinator, motivator and a team player . Like my strengths I also have my share of weakness like, I am a bit impatient if tasks overloads and sometime too aggressive leading to being harsh. Moving to personal life, I like playing cricket, reading books and articles on I nternet. Being the eldest among the siblings I have shoulder the responsibility well in managing my family, my parents agree and consider me a caring and respon sible son. My friends and colleagues turn to me for help as they think me as dep endable and trustworthy.

Kuch khass hai zindagi mein I recall this slogan of Cadbury which influenced me so much as a kid that I used to eat only Cadbury s dairy milk though our refrigerato r was filled with swiss chocolates. Witnessing the countless commercials, it was n t hard for me to understand the importance of advertisements in the marketing of a product. I believe I am good at many things and deciding upon a career has be en tough for me. After completing high school, I managed to get into a top electronics engineerin g program. This program not only gave me a good foundation in technology but als o gave me the flexibility to work in other distinct fields. Apart from regular c ourses, owing to my personal interests, I participated in various cultural activ ities and learned latin dancing to enhance the creative side of me. I also condu cted a workshop for latin dancing. The work was very interesting and it gave a b road outlook to interact and understand people. It also made me understand vario us subtle nuances that goes into functioning of a business. After grad school, I received an offer to be a part of a business development te am in a textile chemical company. I looked at it as a great learning opportunity as sales was the first step towards advertisement. This role gave me the opport unity to apply the logical process of thinking inculcated in during engineering to non technical aspects. After gaining hands on experience here I switched to a mid size recruitment firm. Regular interactions with high level clients are a r egular feature of this job. Therefore in a very short time I have learnt a lot f rom various interactions on how to deal with a variety of people and solve vario us issues by thinking on my feet. After gaining practical experience in sales, I

tried to learn about the creative part of sales. i.e. advertising. I started re ading books on advertising. I discovered that every time I read about advertisin g, the drive I felt is what I imagine David Ogilvy must feel to come to work eve ry day. At this point, I started re-evaluating my goal of becoming a brand manager for a media industry. In short term, I seek a career that will marry my parallel inte rests in sales and advertising. For this, I need to back my graduate degree with an MBA program from a top class communication B-School. So that I can enter the corporate world fully equipped with all theoretical/practical skills that will aid me in facing the complex business environment with confidence. SIMC, with it s eminent faculty & diverse real life projects can actualize my dream.

i have checked all the pointers u mentioned last time..read and see what else co uld be done..everytime i make correction its like whole other sop to me.. anyways..here it is.. My dreams have been my inspiration and my passion is my impetus. Pursuing a PGDM would, I believe, actualize my full potential and expedite my career to great h eights. It will open all the channels that lead to a brighter and bigger future, as I want to be a leader and be best at it. I am a software engineer working in Infosys for the past 10 months. Being an eng ineer in IT, Infosys is really a good company for me.I am happy that i'm applyin g in my job what i have studied in my 4 years. But as a technical person, i feel incomplete.i see myself for a bigger role.
